Ocean Beach

Rather depressing beach if it's gloomy. Some peaceful homeless people around. Volleyball nets. Loud planes overhead every 3-10 minutes. Green area (Saratoga Park). Pretty clean.

Peaceful little downtown area and beach. Has the old abandoned pier that overlooks the sunset in the evening. Dudes surfing in the morning. Plenty of hometown style bars and restaurants walking distance from the beach. Overall just a super chill vibe.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ocean Beach is such a vibe. From the moment we arrived, the environment felt super friendly, welcoming, and laid-back. The beach itself was clean, well-kept, and just peaceful in a way that lets you truly relax and be present. One of the things I appreciated most was how welcoming they are to animals. My service animal was completely welcomed without any issues, and I love that pets are allowed on the beach after 4 p.m. That makes such a difference for families who travel with their fur babies. The overall atmosphere is easygoing and positive — people are kind, respectful, and just enjoying life. Whether you’re walking along the shore, watching the sunset, or simply sitting and soaking in the breeze, it’s a beautiful place to be. We will absolutely be back. 🌅🐾

Great Beach! Especially during the week when no one’s there. Plenty of nearby restaurants and places to get a drink. Unfortunately the Pier is closed

The beach was not too crowded when I was there. Although, the parking areas can get too congested. There is a dog beach nearby. There are also stores and restaurants in the local area.

Nice little beach with free parking if you can find a spot.

O.B.is still O.B. The dogs love dog beach. A few kooks running around.. Too bad the city if San Diego cannot maintain its roads. Watch out for large pot holes that can damage your vehicle alignment and suspension. For such a nice area overall, the roads need attention! Sunset Cliffs Blvd not in the best shape... Also Newport Ave and Dog Beach could use a clean up...
