Had a nice time walking around there. Was fascinated by 2 separate monstrous lines of water birds approaching each other from the north and south converging in the middle. Looked like hundreds of birds.
Its a pretty nice beach in a quiet neighborhood, although i wouldn’t recommend swimming here they usually have swimming warnings about various things in the water making it unsafe
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) I visited Madison Park Beach on August 9th, 2024. I rode my scooter from the city area near Pike Place Market, which took about 30 minutes to reach the beach. Although I went alone and only stayed for about 15 minutes, it was easy to see that this place would be a lot of fun if you’re traveling with friends or family. There were people swimming in the pools, and there were also diving boards available. While the beach itself is lovely, there isn’t a great sunset view since the sun sets in the opposite direction. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Mount Rainier, but unfortunately, it wasn’t visible during my visit 😭.
Great public park, very clean, lots of walking paths.
Still solid after all these years. Lifeguards are more annoying (and bored) than I remember. Better sand at north end of beach.
Loved spending afternoon there and had our lunch while enjoying the scenic views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainer! Weather was great, food was yum, people were fun to be around! Great place to swim and enjoy the beautiful nature. There’re cozy cafes and indoor & outdoor seating bars just across the street of the beach. Street parking is limited unless you don’t mind going a little further.
Lovely place to take dogs and for a ⛱️ summer picnic. Get there early to get a spot close to the water. The sun goes down quick and you can end up moving forward and that's no fun. Public bathrooms in the middle of the park and life guards during the summer 🌞
