Central State Park Beach

This is a great place to find summer leave and solitude in nature. The staff is usually invisible but they do make sure things are taken care of. The only issue I had is that they only allow stays for up to 14 days. The staff were friendly and agreed to store my stuff for me for 30 days, which they certainly didn't have to do. 🫡

It's a really nice swim area. It's $10 a car to get in. The restrooms aren't the cleanest, but overall we really enjoyed our time there. Will definitely go back.

Clean, showers worked, they had a nice playground uphill, and overall was a nice place to take the kids! We went on a Wednesday evening and we were about 1 of the 3 families there, so we had plenty of space to have fun. It's definitely smaller (in the process of renovating I'm assuming) and slightly more rocky than the Spring Creek Beach, but we were happy nonetheless 😊 Also the water level is pretty shallow even all the way out to the buoys. This was nice for us because the water stayed really warm and the kids were able to go further out than at Spring Creek Beach, but some may not like this so be aware.

Decent place physically but they don't actually close at 10pm like it says here. I showed up in my swimsuit and they didn't inform me that they were closing the beach right as I showed up. They have never previously closed the beach like this when I've been here before and there are no signs stating that the beach will close early. It would be great if they would actually inform people of this BEFORE they pay admission. I basically just made an involuntary donation.

Overall it was a really nice experience, during the weekend when it was very crowded it was quiet and peaceful but after the weekend I had camper next to me and a couple across from them and that's the only campers, or partners I should say and were louder than the crowd. The park itself was equipped with a fireplace, picnic table and a grill at each of the campsites. Bathrooms were close and so were the bathrooms.

Great family fun, always has been. But in recent years as out of state people move here it's getting worse and worse with stuff like broken glass on the beach and reckless boaters posing risks for swimmers. Great price, great camping, and easy access to all needs. Just wish we had stricter cleanup

There wasn't any shade close to the beach, which was not fun. The beach was sandy in and out of water, which was fun. The bathrooms were locked due to vandalism, but they were working to get them up and open. Very friendly workers and other swimmers like us. Over all a great day! Will go again! We had six children who had a blast. We went on a Tuesday from 10:00 AM till 3:30 and it wasn't crowded at all.
