Mustang Beach

Mustang Beach is absolutely beautiful! The wide stretch of sandy beach is clean and well maintained, making it perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. One of the best parts is being able to drive and park right on the beach, which makes it super convenient to bring chairs, food, and gear. The waves were nice and the views were amazing—great for walking, relaxing, and enjoying the sea breeze. Be sure to get a beach parking permit before going. Overall, it’s a fantastic beach near Corpus Christi and definitely worth visiting!

This is by far my favorite beach! Access points #2 and #3 are always such peaceful spots, usually with very few people around. Saturdays can get a little busier, but most of the crowd heads out by 3–4 PM, so you can still enjoy a calm and relaxing time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet beach experience.

We stopped by after Sunday service and we were welcomed with this beautiful scenery right here. Crystal clear ocean water, and peaceful calm waves. The sand was pressed and clean... the wind and sun offered the perfect combination weather. My children swam through the calm ocean and rolled around the clean sand. I love the beach. Few people the water was clean. No trash cans, no restrooms. Also no overnight camping. I drove 4 hours to find that out. Otherwise a beautiful place to spend the day.

We drove 4 hours from Houston and it was so worth it!!! My daughters had a blast the weather was perfect. We stay 45 minutes from Galveston but this 4 hour drive was so worth it. We will be back

This is a Great beach! Wear sunscreen!! Hubby burned his feet really bad in a very short time, but he also takes meds that make him more sensitive! We had a great time, lots of space to park on the beach, then walk onto the beach area and set up our umbrella and chairs. Spacious enough where you are away from others, close but not on top of others. Cons- A lot of folks take their speakers to play music, this really sucks for us since we go to the beach to wind down. Relax and listen to nature sounds. Listen to the ocean waves to relax, not have to listen to others' music preference at screaming levels. We don't really go to party or listen to music loudly for everyone else to hear too whether they want to or not! It'd be ok if they were listening to their music and did t crank it up so everyone else to hear. People need to be respectful and respect others. If you're gonna take your music and speakers, then please listen to it at a normal level where ony you can hear it. Make sure to buy your beach permit only $12 for the entire year. Buy at any convenience store near the beach.
