Piers 92/94

I was taking a very long walk along the Hudson River and found there were many nice parks and sitting areas including this one. Nice area for sunbathers and just sitting and looking at the River. There is also a dog park here.

Went for the ART Expo that was going on April 19-22. It was great and had a lot of artists from all over the world. Met a few Armenian artists (my people) and a lot from Europe in general. A very big space although parking near is very hard to find since it’s on 12th Avenue and right near the highway. The layout is not the best, very easy to get lost. So if you are going to attend an expo similar to this you would need a minimum of 3-4 hours.

The piers in NY are something else, they are just beautiful, lots of families doing picnic. Possibility to use the kayaks for free for 30 minutes, the view is just breathtaking, and if you don’t want to stay in just a couple of piers you can keep walking and will find a lot of things to do.

Large show/event space. I was there for the Architectural Digest Design Show. It was a brilliant space to house it. Only real complaint, signage not bold or upfront enough, had to wonder a lot to find even the the bathroom.

Pier 94 is being converted into a studio and production facility (or so the signs and web stories say). As of this writing in late December 2023, the roof and interior have been gutted down to the steel girders (at least I think they are steel).

Pier 92/94 hosts the annual Architectural Digest Design Show. This show " brings together great design across all categories from kitchen, bath, and building products to art, lighting, and furnishings." Great Space.

Each year you can go to art New York and weirdly you can always almost see the same painting and artist like if once a year you got stuck in time and could relive the same day of your life Not that the art exhibited is not nice but just that there should be more novelty each year and not exactly the same paintings sculpture etc... Prices are mostly on the high and the location is great because it’s spacious but super far from the first subway
