I'm pretty sure that it was coming Labor Day week after families have to go home for kids' school - peaceful, laid-back, beautiful. RV camping water & electric hook-ups only. We brought our kayaks & bikes. Motor boats were here as well. The bathhouse was fairly clean and accessible. We look fwd to returning here.

Beautiful lake access with gorgeous vantage to watch the sunset. Can be a little crowded, there are excellent amenities which draw sometimes too many people for my taste of outdoors. But great for something close, accessible and romantic. It really is a magical place to fall in love

Beautiful lake and rec area. Had a great weekend! Took a little hike and swam the days away. The day use areas were really nice and clean but we spent most of our time at the campers only beach at our campground.

We usually camp at SC state parks bc their website is easy and we've found many amazing spots. Our first time booking a NC state park and I'm disappointed for the following: 1. They advertised water at booking and the day we got here, they shut off the water with no notice other than a printed out piece of paper taped to the bathhouse door and it's not even freezing weather. No email, nothing. We are a family of 5 with two big dogs. We need water. We've camped a Lot in freezing weather, literally at 0 degree temps and the campground has never shut off the water. Unacceptable. 2. The above coupled with the showers!! Who came up with the sensor idea where you cannot control the temp!! No warm water... how am I to shower two young kids in a cold bath house with no warm water and it's 40 degrees out!! No way to dry off and change in the stall bc if you're standing there, it's showering cold water on you!! How dumb!!!! 3. No check in greeter, no map, no one was in the drive through check in thing.... just drive on in I guess and find your way The positives are the sites. Beautiful, large sites right on the water's edge. I don't know if we'd come in the summer as Jordan lake ranks as one of the dirtiest in NC and SC. Maybe in the fall if they don't randomly cut your water when it's 50 degrees out. NC get your stuff together!!

Very nice and beautiful park. Good walking trials and great sunset off the lake. It was pretty crowded over the weekend but I guess that's normal. Moderate space between sites. I've never encountered a park this strict on their check in time. The turn you around at the gate and recommend you wait at the local Hardy's or gas stations until 3.

Huge campground with many lakefront large sites. We stayed in Poplar Point/loop G. Heads up bathrooms need to be renovated. I drove to loop C where the bathrooms were newer. Beautiful lake untouched by development.

It’s a pretty lake, really nice view, I’ve been twice the most recent on the fifth of July VERY BUSY, luckly we found parking and a nice place to settle, my sister loved the playground and swing set, mom enjoyed walking along the coast. Water was a bit dirty, but expected as many people were in the water. Sadly there was someone smoking about 50 yards infront of us and the wind blew the smoke up to us 🙁
