Union Point Park

We could use some community help if possible .. I have tried to reach out to city about the garbage pick up to no avail. We the people are putting our best foot forward and a meal once in awhile from the big guys could be that hand up we need once in awhile

This park features fun, sun, and seascapes (sort of) in a nitty-gritty historical, urban setting. It offers tribute to common working class heroes of everyday life along the once-bustling Oakland estuary. In true Oakland fashion, the park's features have been vandalized, repaired, and frequently stressed by the many houseless residents and recreational drug users. Nevertheless, it remains an unexpected oasis for seekers of a sea-sprayed breeze and a visual layout that harkens back to the slow but steady lives of those who fished, built ships, and artists begrudgingly aware of their poverty.

A creative individua(s)l who wants to build a better community for everyone could start right here on Pine/Goss. The Potential here is unlimited.

This park was beautiful!. There was a large homeless group camped there. However, the promenade by the boats was really pretty and the park was totally empty. They were giving free testing for anybody. I went around 2:00 and there were no lines. I even got a free lunch. Totally Oakland.

Union Point Park is a dump. It's a place where homeless people and drug addicts hang out. Be careful to lock your car and don't leave anything of value in it. I only go here to meet a boat I work on.

This is so sad - a place that was designed with so much creativity and thoughtfulness is now drowning in trash. I didn't feel safe walking here during the day with a big dog. Avoid until Oakland has the budget again to care for its properties and house folks that now live here in tents.

She is worth the drive to East Oakland! The marina is pretty chill and they really have kept it pretty clean. Avoid the bathrooms though, even if you have had all your shots!
