Such a great part of Minneapolis history! The street cars are really beautiful and I'm glad their stories are being kept alive.
Memory lane! Minneapolis in the late 1890’s and the early 1900’s. The original street car. You can go from Lake Harriet to Lake Calhoun. Very easy to see how can companies ruined the city for selling cars and making public transportation literally go out of business.
A great little 15 to 20 minute trolley ride with the volunteers giving a history of the trolley cars in Minneapolis. The station has gifts and souvenirs for sale along with more information on the trolley cars. There is smoke parking at the nearby Lake Harriet Bandshell.
A $3 Como-Harriet Streetcar Line Ride with Charming Views For just $3, you can hop on a mini train for a delightful 15-minute round trip. Along the way, you’ll wave and exchange greetings with passersby while enjoying views of lush forests, serene cemeteries, and picturesque lakes. It’s a fun and unique way to soak in the local scenery!
This was really nice and totally worth the 3$. The shop was super nice to see and the first time I rode on a street car. There was a lot of passion around the street cars. It was great they were able to save it for us to experience. Thank you!
Love the all-volunteer Como-Harriet Streetcar Line and the joy and creativity they bring to the city, Lake Harriet and Linden Hills neighborhood, no matter the season. Thanks to all the motormen, building/grounds and track crews who lovingly maintain and improve this classic streetcar line. No small feat!
What a great little ride. It last for about 7 minutes one way and 5 the other way. It was only $3 per person! The trolley leaves every 15-20 minutes so don’t stress if you miss it. There are no scheduled times the train leaves. It’s a quick comfortable trip. Have fun! All aboard!
