It was a fun little cruise. The guide was very informative and the weather was perfect. We were on the top deck, but halfway through moved around different areas. The live jazz was also a great. The band members were very talented. We did not have any food, so can't speak to that. Although we did visit the snack bar and got a bag of chips. The blond woman there was the only unfriendly person we encountered. All of the other staff members were a delight. Surprisingly enough, Jeremy, the bartender on the top deck, made fantastic cocktails - better than both bars and restaurants we tried yesterday. The Mississippi River Brees tastes like a jolly rancher and Natchee Jazz Punch was also really good. They both had a kick, but wasn't all just sugar. I learned a lot, and have a new appreciation of Dominos sugar! Lol. Thanks for an excellent experience 🙂
Very nice experience. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The buffet style dinner was very tasty, especially the gumbo and creamy spinach. There was plenty of time to eat in the time frame, nice views of the skyline and bridge and a great jazz band playing for the second hour. Also a great merch shop.
We did the tickets with the lunch and it was phenomenal. The food was great. The educational experience of the history of New Orleans. The Naches and the surrounding sites was so freaking cool. This is a definite. I don’t think I would skip the sit down lunch experience but just going is great and their bloody Mary’s are on point.
Memorable experience of the Mississippi River. Classic River paddle boat. The views of the bridge and city line at night are beautiful. The jazz band was very talented and entertaining. The buffet itself and the interior decor was why I rated 3-star. But I still would recommend the experience atleast one time!
We took the Dinner/Jazz Cruise on the riverboat New Orleans on Friday night. It was an incredible experience! The food? OMG the food was fabulous! Creole creamed spinach, crawfish etouphé, southern fried chicken thighs, prime rib, bread pudding! The jazz on the top deck was top shelf! The cruise was amazing. Another must do if in NOLA! 5 jazzy ⭐'s!
This was a really nice boat ride, I'm did the daytime tour, which I do think would probably be a bit more noisy than that of the night due to a bunch of kids and families running around. Nonetheless, the scenery was beautiful and the narration was great as well. The food was quite yummy and the live band was also exceptional entertainment. I would recommend for a quick activity.
We didn’t buy the dining package for the Steamboat Natchez tour, we just took the two-hour cruise. There’s narration throughout the ride, and I actually found it pretty interesting. We passed by a sugar refinery, and for the first time I learned that it can produce seven million pounds of sugar per day. That was impressive. There are lots of little facts like this along the way. We went on the 2 p.m. cruise, and the lighting was perfect. By the time we got off the boat, the sun was already setting. If you take the evening cruise, you probably won’t be able to see much along the river, though you might get a view of New Orleans at night, I’m not sure how worthwhile that is. Also, if you get cold easily, I strongly recommend booking the dining option, because only dining-package guests can sit indoors. If you plan to sit outside, make sure to dress warmly.
