We went on our first Cruise this last year and it was so incredible we are hooked our next cruise is this September we Love NCL it fits our personality perfectly. Their service is Outstanding in every way.

We took the Norwegian Escape during Christmas for a round trip to Cozumel, Roatan and the Mayan Coast. The ship is awesome with plenty to do for all ages. The restaurants were great with a special kudos to Manhattan where, although complimentary, you feel like you’re in an upscale place. Every crew member in the ship had a smile in their faces and that makes the experience so much more enjoyable. If they let us use whatsapp and the fitness could be used by my 12yo son together with me it would have been a 6 starts experience but still a solid 5 start.

It was worth to upgrade to balcony room we got to see sunrises and sun sets. Staff was extra friendly and easy to navigate the ship. We had a great travel agent he got us what we wanted for a great price.

We recently sailed on the Norwegian Escape and overall had a good experience, though there were definitely some highs and lows. The crew was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The staff at the buffet sang washy washy songs and Christmas pastry songs. They made a ginger bread house with the New Orleans port that was huge! The food was great as well, especially at Cagney’s and Le Bistro, which were both absolutely delicious. The buffet started off strong but became a bit repetitive as the days went on. The entertainment was very good, especially choir of man and rhinestone cowgirls. I was disappointed in the itinerary. Our stop in Costa Maya was canceled, our port times were changed, and one of my excursions was canceled due to lack of participation. It took away some of the excitement we were hoping for on this trip. We also had an issue with our stateroom TV. It wasn’t functioning properly due to what seemed to be a short. Our cabin steward did his best to help and even managed to get it working temporarily, but the problem kept coming back. On the positive side, the port itself was easy to access, and both embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. We chose a later check in time based on previous reviews. Overall, it was a decent cruise with excellent service and food, but the itinerary changes made it a bit disappointing compared to what we had originally planned.

Our recent experience on the Norwegian Escape out of New Orleans was truly unforgettable! From the moment we stepped on board, we were met with warm smiles, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. Service: The crew went above and beyond every single day. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our trip special. Their kindness and professionalism set the tone for the entire cruise. Food & Dining: The 24-hour restaurant was a game-changer! Whether we wanted a late-night snack or an early breakfast, everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Across the ship, all dining areas were spotless, and the variety of fresh food was impressive. Cleanliness: The ship was unbelievably clean. Every corner from hallways to dining rooms to pool decks was constantly maintained. We felt comfortable, safe, and well cared for the entire time. Destinations: The itinerary was amazing! Our stops in Costa Maya, Mexico, Belize, and Honduras were beyond beautiful. Each island had its own charm, and the excursions were organized, fun, and full of breathtaking scenery. Entertainment & Activities: There was never a dull moment onboard. The comedy shows, games, concerts, movies, and special events kept us entertained all day and night. The gym was well equipped and clean, perfect for staying active while at sea. The ship also offered gorgeous art galleries and stylish boutiques that made exploring onboard just as fun as exploring the islands. Family-Friendly Excellence: One of the highlights of our trip was the free Splash Academy. The kids absolutely loved it, and the team was incredible, caring, patient, and full of energy. Knowing our children were happy and safe allowed us to fully enjoy the adult-only events, shows, and quiet moments. The Splash Academy crew truly made this vacation extra special for our family. Overall, the Norwegian Escape delivered an exceptional experience in every way; service, food, entertainment, family programs, and destinations. We came home with amazing memories and can’t wait to sail again! 🌟 Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a perfect getaway! 🌟

The Highlights ​World-Class Entertainment: The shows are the undisputed star of the ship. The Choir of Man is a must-see—high-energy, soulful, and feels like a true Broadway-caliber production. ​The Waterfront (Deck 8): NCL nailed the "sea-connection" here. Dining or grabing a drink at the Sugarcane Mojito Bar while sitting right over the ocean is easily the best way to spend an evening. ​The Vibe: Whether you’re hitting the ropes course or relaxing at Spice H2O, the ship has a modern, energetic atmosphere that never feels "stiff." ​The Food Scene (A Mixed Bag) ​Food Republic: This was the biggest "hit and miss" of the trip. The Sushi is the clear winner here—fresh, creative, and definitely worth a visit. However, the rest of the "global fusion" menu was disappointing. Many of the non-sushi items lacked the same quality and felt a bit flat compared to the high standard of the rolls. ​Main Dining: The complimentary meals in Taste and Savour were consistent and solid, though service can slow down significantly during the 7:00 PM rush. ​Specialty Alternatives: If you have dining credits left, Cagney’s Steakhouse or Teppanyaki tend to offer a more well-rounded experience if you aren't strictly in the mood for sushi. ​Areas for Improvement ​Crowd Management: On sea days, the main pool deck can feel like a parking lot. If you aren't out there by 9:00 AM, finding a chair is a challenge. ​Cabin Storage: While the rooms are sleek and modern, storage space for two people on a 7-day trip is a bit tight. You’ll have to be organized! ​The Verdict ​The Norwegian Escape is a fantastic 4-star experience. It offers some of the best entertainment and outdoor spaces at sea. Just go to Food Republic for the sushi only, and look elsewhere for your "fusion" fix.

Don’t do it. Horrible experience. I sat 3 hours in the shuttle from the airport to the ship with no restroom or water. We were finally put off the bus in the rain and told to go somewhere else for a few hours because the port facility was full of passengers still disembarking our ship. We were supposed to board at 12 noon and didn’t get to our cabin until after 7 pm. Our carryon luggage, that included a CPAP, was took from us for the bus ride and we weren’t allowed to get it back. It didn’t show up until 2 am. Our late departure after embarkation affected our itinerary for the whole week. I understand that bad weather affects the schedule but the crew couldn’t communicate what new schedule or impacts to excision times were. We finally just cancelled our excursions because the port durations were too short. Lastly we were almost 2 hours late returning, supposed to dock at 8 and didn’t until almost 10, stood in line over 2 hours to disembark and missed our flight back home that boarded at 12:30. Flights were also booked through NCL and there was no service to get rebooked. Sent an email and completed the post cruise survey to get a standard "sorry you were disappointed" email. This was our first and last NCL. Once they got our money the service was gone. Also, I don’t think my expectations were too high for the thousands of dollars we paid Ncl for airfare and a suite on the cruise. Won’t do it again.
