Presque Isle State Park

Presque Park is hands down stunning. I went in the winter and the icey beach/bay is magical. There's tons of trails for walking and biking, but the views are a must. The multi park and drive stops are very well organized and easy to follow - don't bust 25 mph too much or they will getcha. This state park is beautiful and you must see it to truly visit Erie. It's also 100% free.

Presque Isle was magnificent! I’m sure it’s super packed on the summer, but ours was a fall visit and while it was busy, it was not too bad! Great foot and bike paths. Lots of beach area, the water was great and the lighthouse didn’t disappoint even though it was closed. This was recommended from a friend and I’m so glad we went! Definitely worth the trip if you are within an hour or two drive.

I suggest everyone go! Beautiful views, nice beaches, clean, and a lot of areas for parking and easy access. Nice drive, beautiful fall colors, and lots of small things to do. Playgrounds, bathrooms, and parking all year. We were able to get out and in easily. Found lots of seashells and my littles had a blast. Take extra clothes, kids don't care if its cold!

This is seriously one of those places you visit and cznt wait to come too. Super safe, there's always rangers/ law enforcement driving around. Clean, with lots of garbage cans and restroom areas. I grew up around Lake Erie and I still get pleasantly surprised at how clear the water is at these beaches. Great place to grab Primanti Brothers and spend the afternoon.

Presque Isle State Park was such a refreshing place to visit. I loved how it feels like a peaceful getaway right along Lake Erie, with beaches, trails, and water views everywhere you turn. Walking along the shoreline with the lake stretching out in front of me felt incredibly calming, it almost feels like the ocean. What really stood out to me was the variety. I spent time biking the loop trail, relaxing on the beach, and exploring some of the quieter nature areas. Even with other visitors around, it never felt crowded, and there were plenty of spots to enjoy the view in peace.

I drove the loop around the park the Saturday after Christmas and walked parts of the beach. The park has a great layout with many shoreline entry points. If you go in the winter, beware the ice dunes!

If you don't visit this place at least once or twice a year, you're missing out. I take my daughter 3-4 times a year. Great beaches, amazing sunsets, wildlife, views, swimming, beach glass, ice fishing, ice dunes, trails. Closer than the ocean and cleaner💙
