This hotel is in the ideal location in downtown Portland. Close to the highway and access to stores, shops and Beaverton/Tigard. It's got great decor and appeal on the first level, but that was about it. The room was old and ratty (room 304). Bathroom didn't look clean and water pressure was pretty nonexistent. Water doesn't get hot enough for me. Be prepared to get charged an extra $70 a day for parking and "resort fee", which by the way no gym facility on premises. Smores hour is only from 7 to 8pm. Breakfast was poor. We skipped it entirely on the second day. - I've never skipped out on breakfast at a hotel in my entire life! We did like the location, however staff aren't friendly. They just stand around and talk without so even acknowledging you. Same goes for bar/restaurant on premises. Unfortunately will not stay here again, not worth it.
The location is amazing. The lobby is nice. The food seemed like it is trying to hard to be trendy. The room... wish I could give negative stars. The bathroom has mold in all the chalking, the hvac system is super noisy, the beds are so firm, that sleeping on the floor would have been softer, the pillows are flat feathers, and only one of the four lights worked. When I called the front desk I was told they would get back with me... never happened. Three days later and my back, shoulders, and neck are still mad at me from my one night there. When checking out I was charged an additional $70 for random fees and taxes. $250.00 for one night. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!
Don't assume that you're paying less for a better place. They didn't refund my deposit. When I called, she mentioned that I didn't have a room there. You pay an extra $30 for amenities that you never receive. I was told the pool table has been rented out for months, and we were excited about it. The water in your room states that if you open it, you'll be charged. So, we left it unopened, yet they still charged me $8 for it, claiming it's part of your amenities. I might as well have enjoyed them 😂. The lady at breakfast was unpleasant during both of our stays. I absolutely adore the s'mores and the sitting area; the interior is stunning, and the king suite is phenomenal. I want to return solely because it's clean and beautiful. The location is fantastic; we felt safe walking around in the middle of the night. My son got to see all the sights. The night desk staff really compensate for the daytime crew. During the day, they hardly smile or greet you, but at night, they engage with you, smile, and even open the doors before you can get your keys out. I can't say enough positive things about the night team. In the end, the cost went from around $125 to an additional $100 on top of my booking.
Positive: This hotel was not a four star ⭐️ Negative: One night stay at this hotel, but ... unfortunately, we will not be back. The hotel's cleanliness and maintenance were subpar, with a mildew smell present. The bed was also extremely worn, causing back discomfort.
Everything about this place was very underwhelming, from the room to the food service. The room felt like it was just thrown together and half of the lights didn’t work. The bathroom was also not in the best shape as there was lots of water damage spots. I also paid extra for a continental breakfast, which just turned out to be a small selection of cereal and bread…Overall the stay was just alright. If I were you, I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here.
Some areas are showing wear and tear. Lobby and restaurant are nice but upstairs guest areas could use a spruce. Room was small but comfortable. This is a great location though. Bus and tram are close and the area is walkable and feels safe.
The service is outstanding and the rooms are fine, but that’s kinda it. You pay an amenities fee for breakfast that’s like school camp (toast, bagels, cereal, oranges and yogurt and that’s it.) but on paper plates with plastic cups felt a little weird - we only had it once and didn’t come back the other days. The bar downstairs closed fairly early, the outdoor fires are awesome and a great place to chill but did wish the eatery was open later. We had a leaking ceiling the first night, they ended up moving us to another room which was great of them. But our privacy lights didn’t work in the new room. The shower pressure is pretty bad too. It’s okay for the price, and the location is solid but that’s about it. I’d probably consider other options if I came back to the city.
