This one is rough, under new ownership there is still definitely some growing pains. For this area I really can’t knock them too hard, wow Raleigh got freakishly expensive while I was gone guys. They provided all the soaps and towels I needed , which for this kind of a place is kind of a big deal, and I think I checked in with the owners great folks. Also the Central American food truck in the parking lot elevates this place a ton
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Horrible management and ownership. Refuses to refund my money, regardless of the fact I didnt stay there because they were unable to accommodate. You're better off sleeping in your car.
Room was surprisingly clean. Plenty of pillows. Furniture slightly outdated and damaged (stains on chair, corner of dresser top broken, bedside lamp contained only one working bulb, phone was missing a few buttons). Plenty of towels were provided. Lobby smelled weirdly musty, unsure why. There was one small cockroach in the bathroom sink, but I saw absolutely no signs of infestation so it likely crawled up the pipes in search of moisture. The roach was caught in a coffee cup and safely deposited outside. A recommended stay if you're on a budget and don't mind a tiny visitor borrowing a drink of water from your sink or shower.
I went to this hotel on Saturday with my wife she found roaches in the room and told me to get the bags and check out she was not staying there so I checked out and I got my deposit back but they won’t give me back the other money
Stayed here about a week ago during a trip down to North Carolina, and it was a pretty decent hotel, not the best not the worst. A few instances I seen roaches crawling around though which was nasty, other than that the room was ehh and the service was pretty decent too. Would only come back if i desperately needed somewhere to stay.
There were live as well as dead roaches in our room. Live roaches in the bathroom and dead ones in the refrigerator. There were roaches in the bureaus (live) and the handles were broken. We contacted the front desk and they offered very little help and assistance. (Though they were very nice) In the morning the juice machine was out of order for the continental breakfast. I WOULD NEVER LODGE HERE AGAIN!!!!
I have been so pleased with this hotel and staff! It’s hard to find employees that go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home so this staff that I’m mentioning most definitely should be recognized. First shift front desk Selena is wonderful! She always makes sure to find out what your needs are and she attends to them. She cared that we were comfortable and made sure that we knew if anything came up she would help. I watched her hello many people and each one was the same. She helped so much create a home like feel for us. The manager was just as kind and helpful. You don’t see that often, or I have not, where the manager is up front and center to help and see that customers were happy but this manager did. He every morning greeted us and asked if we needed anything at all for our stay and always fixed any problem we might have. He was a delight! The second shift front desk lady , Kelly is actually the first person I meet there because it was her shift that I came in on. It was a horrible night before and day that I came in on and I’m sure that if I had to deal with one more thing at that point I would’ve crumbled! She made it such a good experience; we laughed and joked and talked for about 20 min before even going to my room. I was so relieved at that point in my day and even shared that with her before leaving. We had lost everything we had and financially too; At that time I needed her friendship and laughter and most definitely the care and concern she gave to me. She was a bright spot then and even throughout my entire stay. She interacts with everyone in their own special and individual way and I loved watching her care and put all she had into doing the same for everyone there. The third shift guy and the breakfast needs some TLC for sure. He’s the most ‘ NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY’ person I’ve ever met and giving the benefit of the doubt I tried multiple times to speak and engage in conversation and my husband too but it never changed with him. And the breakfast never improved either; we thought, " okay maybe the weekend is the problem and during the week it will be different". That wasn’t the case; biscuits were hard every morning and the meal never changed. I’ve stayed all over and am a choice member so most places I’ve experienced the eggs, sausage and biscuit and then rotating to biscuit/gravy and oatmeal.. were never had oatmeal other than the packs and the meal never changed. The good outweighed the bad for sure but with that great off a team the breakfast can improve.
