Club Wyndham Old Town Alexandria

This is the perfect location for visiting Alexandria as well as DC. The METRO station is only about 1/2 block away. Rooms are top notch and staff is super helpful. I've stayed here many times already and I already look forward to my next trip.

Great location. Within a block of a metro station. Rooms are nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. They deal with problems promptly. Nice exercise room. Only downside is this is a timeshare facility. They're very insistent you attend a sales meeting. Be prepared and tell them no.

The location was amazing! Close to metro, bus pick up and the Alexandria trolley! The staff was absolutely amazing the accomodations were perfect! Our concierge, Criag, was so helpful and so much fun to visit with, he really made our trip special! This is a Wyndham resort property so we agreed to sit for the member presentation. Honestly, we are not a fan of such things but we went ahead and made the appointment. For the first time attending one of these it was not about selling something, there was no pressure to buy anything it was just informational for current members and there was no antics to hold us hostage when you are ready to leave.

DO NOT Attend their timeshare or vacation club meetings. They will be very rude from the jump at the front desk and even more rude when you leave. They refused to validate our $25 dollar parking ticket just because we didn’t buy their extremely expensive vacation club package; when they were the ones that told us to park there. They wanted us to make a decision of tens of thousands of dollars in 1 hour and a half. The lady at the front desk of the time share room is extremely rude.

As a vacationer the spot is excellent, although I wish we had been informed ahead of time about the exterior masonry work being done on the facade and painting being done on the interior halls. Do NOT take the Wyndham / T&L owner meeting unless you expect to spend an hour or two and be hard-sold to buy more points!!! That's why I rated the service low, VERY HARD SELL and not very transparent either. The site however is very nice and extremely convenient to the Metro, VRE, Amtrak, Old Town Trolleys (free) and DASH busses (also free!). The rooms are well appointed, fully stocked with kitchen appliances, tableware, and linens. VERY clean and generally good to excellent condition of furnishings. Wish the lobby chatter was a bit quieter, but if you keep the fan on it's tolerable. Been owners with Wyndham for many years this is one of our favorite places to stay.

My wife and l stayed at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town 1767 King Street. for 2 nights from the Thursday the 2nd and 3rd of October. We booked through Club Wyndham. To celebrate my wife's 61st birthday. We were very disappointed. No water in our room and then asked to pay $8 for a small bottle of water. A bad smell in the elevators and room. No swimming pool or leisure facilities. No parking for a larger vehicle. We were made to find and pay for public parking 30 minutes walk away. Which we walked from with our luggage. We told Wyndham staff. No solution was offered. No alternative accomadation offered. No parking sourced, just a shrug of the shoulders. But Wyndham then tried to hard sell us ownership and they we're upset when we turned them down. Very poor. Very poor service. Disappointing and we will be amazed if anyone reacts to our feedback, just as they didn't at the time. Mark and Patricia Charters

We had a nice time but there were a few things. Broken electrical outlets and the iron was missing plastic. And our room was on the back of the hotel right next to the metro station. It was LOUD when the trains came which was thought the day and night. We would come back because it’s part of our timeshare, but I wouldn’t pay for a room here. Go somewhere further from the station. Overall the staff was nice. They had complimentary popcorn, latte machine, and garage parking available on sight.
