We had a wonderful five-night stay with Betsy and Mabel in December while we explored New Orleans. Betsy was always helpful and accommodating; Mabel was less helpful but welcoming and always ready to remind you where her doggie treats were kept.||Accommodations were very comfortable and and a welcome spot to return to at the end of the day. Breakfast was very good and allowed for a chat with Betsy about all things New Orleans as we planned our day. We had been concerned about parking but always found a free spot on the street within a door or two of the B&B. Location is a very walkable home base for the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. All in all - highly recommended!

I enjoyed staying here with family last month in May 🙂 it’s located in the perfect spot - close enough to the French Quarter and Frenchman St. where the action is. Yet far enough away where you can get a good night’s sleep in peace & quiet. I especially loved walking down to breakfast every morning being greeted by Mabel the Basset Hound 🥰 Betsy is a wonderful host and was kind enough to let us store our luggage for a couple of hours after check out on our last day there so we didn’t have to store it elsewhere. This helped us be able to enjoy NOLA one last time before heading to the airport. I’d definitely stay in Chez Palmier next time I’m in NOLA ☺️

We went in May and had an amazing stay with Betsy! We had the Italian room that had everything we needed, gave us our privacy when we wanted and had the easiest access to the rest of the house when we wanted to be social. There were plenty of great breakfast options laid out every day and the absolute cutest pup Mabel! I spent a few afternoons sunning by the pool getting periodic visits from Mabel and Betsy who always had great recommendations on where to go. Our first night she recommended a spot for dinner we went back to 2 more times. And she suggested a music festival that we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. The location is fantastic too! Easy walking distance to the French Quarter but just the right distance away from the raucous touristy areas. Anytime we’re back in Nola we’re staying with Betsy!

Our experience staying at Chez Palmiers was fantastic! The location made it easy to walk to the French Quarter and the entertainment on Frenchmen's Street, and it is also close to the streetcar. The room on the main level with a British theme was very comfortable. We started our mornings with greeting Mable, the resident Basset Hound, and conversations with Betsy while we enjoyed coffee, her delicious baking, fruit and other easy choices for breakfast. Betsy also had great recommendations for restaurants. We had a great time during our four nights there and heartily recommend the bed and breakfast.

Perfect place to stay during my four day trip to the Big Easy! The rooms were a cool oasis from the heat, with plenty of space to spread out. The Old World decor has loads of charm. Betsy, the proprietor, is gracious, warm, and gave me a map so that I could explore the city with no trouble at all. It was fun meeting some of the other guests during the continental breakfast. All in all, a delightful time!

We loved staying at Chez Palmiers! Betsy is very kind and personable. Mabel the basset hound is adorable. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. It felt like staying at a friend’s house. We easily found parking on the street for our car each night. It was also very walkable and we felt safe. It was a delight to stay in the Marigny - everything was close and felt much more authentically New Orleans vs the Canal Street / French Quarter area. No complaints - would definitely recommend!

Our family of 5 stayed at Chez Palmiers to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary and could not have had a more wonderful time. Betsy, our host, was so warm and welcoming. She gave great recommendations and was a delight to chat with each morning over breakfast. She had fabulous breakfasts for us each day, along with a fridge stocked with yogurt, juice, milk, fruit, etc. We had plenty to sustain us for a day of sightseeing. Mabel the Bassett hound was a charmer who made sure to let us know where her treat jar was. |The house is gorgeous! We were lucky enough to reserve all 3 bedrooms, which were spacious, comfortable and clean, with tons of fun decor. A/C worked great on the warmer days and the beds had comfy mattresses. The backyard had plenty of seating for our family to gather throughout the day and evening. |Chez Palmiers is a place that you're sad to leave! We can't wait to be back someday soon.
