Was a great room, with an awesome location. Near to Jackson square, Bourbon Street, and nearby tour stops. The only draw back was the electronic key, had lots of issues, luckily my husband did not have the same problem (the Inn did say that they could have a door card made for me). Super prompt on answering any questions or concerns that I had.
We have stayed here many times in 15 years. We love the location. I was very disappointed with the modern "updates". It was so nice before. Why would you take an old charming, classic & update it with cheap furniture? I would have put more time & money into improving the courtyard. How about some flowers? 3 days and no maid service. I don't care, but how about more than 2 bath towels? Sorry, sad but true ||
Perfect location! Situated close enough to all the action of the French Quarter while still feeling quiet and outside of things. A short walk to Frenchman Street as well. The staff was very responsive and helpful. We did have some issues with the OpenKey app not loading our key, but deleting and redownloading the app seemed to work. Would recommend this hotel and will stay again!
The Inn on Ursuline is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but within walking distance to everything! It has very limited parking (not on-site). Upon check-in, we found the front desk clerk very friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain the parking situation, point out local restaurants, convenience stores, and even carried out bags to our room for us. He went above and beyond expectations! The court entrance is not well lit and is narrow and uneven. The rooms are very attractive and have a historic feel. We found the rooms to be thoroughly clean. The AC did stop working in our first room, but the maintenance crew came immediately (you couldn’t ask for better service) and worked to repair it. When it couldn’t be repaired the staff moved us to a new room. The AC also stopped working in the second room for a few hours, but did eventually correct itself. Make sure to request a 1st-floor room if you can't do stairs! The stairs to the 2nd floor (both sets) were dangerous (steep and narrow). The walkways are narrow. No elevator.
Great location and great quality room especially considering the lower than average price! We were thrilled with our stay here. We had a queen size room and were completely satisfied with the amenities, comfort and convenience of the inn. The check-in was quite easy, the staff members were all very friendly and our expectations were exceeded. It’s a no-frills place with everything you need for a comfortable and safe stay in the French Quarter! We would absolutely stay here again!
This historic lodging is not for everyone. The location is not the best for first-time NOLA visitors, it is not near restaurants, transportation, or attractions, but is located in the residential heart of the quarter. It most certainly is not good for anyone with a handicap, the narrow walkways, stairs, and tight inner courtyard is a challenge for anyone with a challenge. Wheelchairs would never fit. I also felt that in an emergency, exiting the hotel area could be a problem: there is only one way out, and if it would be blocked...you would be trapped. As for the rooms, they are very attractive and have an historic feel. The bathroom lacks some privacy. There is no chair in the room, so if you want to eat something it is either sit on the bed or go outside to the patio area. Finding a breakfast spot was a problem, since many restaurants that said they were open were not open until 11 am. Experienced NOLA visitors can handle this, but first timers may be frustrated. If you know your way around, and want to experience an authentic historical hotel, this could be worth a visit, but if you are seeking convenience, consider finding a spot closer to Canal St. or that side of the Quarter.
This place is very cute and in a quiet neighborhood. Great location as it's within walking distance to almost all the local places of interest. The room and bathroom were very clean. However I wish I had stayed in another place. The room was very small. The bathroom was a decent size however the shower area is so tiny with absolutely no wriggle room. It was very challenging to take a shower without bumping our elbows on the shower walls. The bed made a lot of noise every time we moved not at all comfy. The door to the room did not lock properly and we had to open and close several times before the lock engaged. There was no parking and we had to pay extra. Although they claimed it's a reduced charge it did not feel like it as we paid $40 per night. The check in process was not at all smooth. It would have helped if we were given clear instructions on how to get into the property using the digital key. Had to call several times with questions. Our card has been charged a $100 and another $20 extra not sure if this is a hold on the card or a charge. Need to call and get details. It would be helpful if we are told ahead of these things instead of having to wonder and call with questions. On the whole not a good stay for us. I will not recommend this to anyone. I am sure there are better quaint places in the French quarters to stay Updated Review – Appreciated the Management’s quick Response & good Housekeeping I’m updating my review after receiving a thoughtful response from the management. The General Manager personally called to address my concerns, which I truly appreciate — it shows a commitment to guest satisfaction. Also, I forgot to mention earlier that the housekeeping services were excellent. The team ensured our room was well-maintained throughout our stay and provided fresh towels regularly.
