Best place to stay in NOLA! My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend in NOLA, and we found this gem by accident after searching for places to stay near the French Quarter. Stephen was amazing! We felt right at home from the second we arrived at the guest house. It was quaint and cozy. We enjoyed the courtyard so much! He even suggested a wonderful restaurant for us to try and we loved it! We will be returning every 6 weeks and definitely staying at the Pierre Coulon Guest House!!!

This was our fifth time staying with Stephen and every time feels like coming home. We stayed there from Nov. 8-15. You have your own house, with a lush patio a spacious bedroom and bath on the second floor and the living room/kitchen on the ground floor. Stephen has stocked it with lots of snacks and drinks as well as a book of recommendations. It is our favorite neighborhood in New Orleans. So many wonderful places within walking distance, including the amazing Ayu Bakehouse, Orange Couch, Frenchmen St., Paladar 511, Who Dat Cafe and the Elysian bar and restaurant , not to mention all the friendly neighbors you’ll meet along the way. And then there’s your host, Stephen. Super communicative from the time we booked, to the time we left, and very organized. And you won’t find a nicer person to chat with. He came in to clean every day when we were out and was always available for any questions or concerns, as he lives on site. We can’t recommend his place highly enough.

We happened upon Pierre Coulon Guest House in the most serendipitous way, and had a wonderful stay there. It is a unique and historic space, located in a great neighborhood of New Orleans. Stephen is such a welcoming host and has put so much love and care into the space: the kitchen is thoughtfully stocked, the living room is cozy, and it feels like home. The guest house opens up to a beautiful garden. Stephen has excellent recommendations of things to eat and explore around the city. A truly delightful spot-- we hope to return soon!

My partner and I stayed in Stephen's beautiful guesthouse for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. This guesthouse is BEAUTIFUL and spacious and charming!! The two upstairs bedrooms have a balcony overlooking a courtyard, lots of natural light, and are well stocked with everything a traveler could need. The courtyard is gorgeous -- filled with plants and flowers that give it a tropical feel, and his delightful cat Sophie roams about too. Stephen is the most wonderful host, so kind and responsive and extremely knowledgeable about New Orleans, given he has lived there for over 35 years! He shared all sorts of wisdom on everything from the nightlife to the architecture, and was a delight to spend time with. We will 100% be returning!!!

Charming house behind a house off the street with a beautiful garden in front. Very private and very comfortable. Stephen is an excellent host! The Marigny District is very centrally located, walking distance to the French Quarter, with lovely restaurants nearby.

I was in New Orleans to visit my son. This guest house, hosted by Stephen was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better- easy to walk to so much. Stephen pays a lot of attention to detail and has so many extras in this guest house. It was very comfortable, clean and well kept. The courtyard is beautiful with many plants/flowers. I will definitely stay here again when visiting. It is a gem.

Truly amazing place to stay!! Located in a quiet little neighborhood with good parking and wonderful architectural details. Stephen, your host, has created a true vacation gem. From the private garden courtyard, that loads of ink could be spilled on all by itself, to Stephen's knowledge of his city, it's history and eateries and festivals and the fact that a lot of it is within walking distance make this the perfect place if you wish to be in the midst of everything and still have a clean, quiet, comfortable place to come home to. Be sure to listen for the river boat steam whistle with your morning coffee in the courtyard!! We can't wait to come back.
