The Delphi Downtown LA

This review is made as someone who stayed 2 nights and didnt really use the hotel for much besides sleeping, so take this review with a grain of salt if youre looking to stay longer and use hotel amenities. For my purposes, the hotel was good value. The room was nice, spacious, and most importantly quiet. I liked the hotel's classic interior, it made me feel like I was staying in a hotel from the 60s, without the downsides of an old building. Overall a very positive experience from that perspective. The biggest downside was probably the hotel staff - they weren't rude (save for the person who gave me room service and silently handed me my food without a word), but they seemed disinterested in service unless forced. Two times when I walked up to employees they were on their phone and I had to get their attention. Im not someone who thinks they shouldn't be allowed to use their phones on the job or anything if its quiet, but if you dont have the awareness to notice a guest who needs help, then maybe youre buried too much in your phone. And there was no apology, just a curt response and then back to their phone. Despite that, it was still a good experience and I would likely come back. Good location and building, I just wish the staff was more engaged.

I had a wonderful stay at The Delphi Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city and close to many attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel has a stylish and modern design, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. I especially loved the atmosphere in the lobby and the overall vibe of the hotel. It made our trip even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Los Angeles and I would happily stay here again!

The room was huge and luxurious. There was a great city view from the enormous windows. The bathroom was also very large. The lifts were beautiful. The staff were helpful. Nice size of television for watching those crazy lawyers’ adverts!||The location in Downtown LA is perfect for The Teragram Ballroom where we saw The Brian Jonestown Massacre twice! ||If you are visiting LA don’t forget to take in the fantastic Aquarium of The Pacific where you can feed the lorikeets. They are adorable!||Back at the hotel - there was opaque glass panelling between shower and room itself. Not great for privacy, really, but my son and I managed to allow each other this privacy by sitting in a strategically placed chair when the other was showering. I must emphasise that this was the ONLY thing I wasn’t keen on at The Delphi. I loved the hotel in general.

Stayed last weekend and had a wonderful time. The room was super cute and I loved the transparent bathroom facade. The microwave I got from the front desk locked up and stole my donut LOL, and Maryanne or Mariam (I can't remember sorry) got me a free dessert. Christina was also amazing and helpful with every interaction and Albert was also accommodating. I had a fantastic stay. I will definitely be back!

Perfect location in LA downtown with less than 5-minute walking distance from 7th street/Metro Central metro station. It is also within a walkable distance from downtown landmarks such as Angels Flight Railway, Grand Central Market, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Lakers home stadium. Hotel room is nicely designed and clean. In response to some other comments on the slow lifts, the lift speed is considered reasonable and okay, as the hotel building is not so tall! The restaurant for breakfast has great interior design, offering many choices of set breakfasts. The breakfasts and Americano coffee served are awesome. This hotel is highly recommended!

The staff was amazing. I would give customer service a 10/10. The room on the other hand definitely needs renovated. The carpet was severely stained. Behind the head boards was so dusty I almost couldn't believe that they never get back there to clean. The shower curtain was also so stained. The tv remote didn't work so we weren't able to watch tv. We enjoyed Denaes diner, the lobby is very appealing they definitely get you there. I don't think I will stay here in the future.

decent hotel in downtown los angeles. lovely and attentive staff, & an excellent location. parts of the hotel have been updated, such as the lobby, and are high-quality. however, there are other parts that are very dated. the carpet in the hallway and the room had a musty smell, and the elevators have seen better days. that being said, i would consider staying here again. it is a relatively good value for what it is
