Cheston House

Location is ideal as it close to the beach and the bed is extremely comfortable. However it fell short for the following reasons: 1. Tap Water is yellow & dirty 2. Shower water only stays hot for 5 minutes 3. Coffee is disgusting 4. Door to room is difficult to open & close 5. Our bathroom door did not close all the way let alone lock 6. No iron in room at arrival and the ironing board was stained. 7. Landscaping needs attention 8. Check out is 11:00 am. Late check outs are an additional $15 an hour….no thank you! 9. Room was never attended to. Towels were never replaced in a four day period. For the prices we were charged we expected much better. We will consider other resorts in the vicinity on our next trip to this area.

The Cheston House Guest House was a great experience and enviable location. The resort is very well-maintained, quaint and very civilized. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, even the most convenient option of a Standard Guest Room. The bed was perfect, the first requirement for a good night's sleep. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced, considering the parking options in the area. Chuck, Pedro and Lawrence were great hosts and took care of us. Other guests were very friendly and sociable. No complaints, and well deserve five stars!

This place is great!! It's a hidden oasis. The pictures google has are all old. The rooms have been completely updated. They're crisp, clean, modern and very, very comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I loved the rainfall shower head and down comforter. The pool is heated to a nice temperature and sparkling clean. Location is 1 block from the beach!! I very much enjoyed making new friends with other guests. I've already made reservations for a future visit.

2nd time I stayed here. Very comfortable, quiet, and barely 2 blocks from the beach & restaurants. I'd highly recommend it for a laid back vacation or a quick get-away for either singles or couples. The hosts are welcoming, the bed is really comfy, and the room/facility is well kept. I will be back to FLL and staying here again.

I stayed there for the past weekend (Oct 12th-16th) and everything was AMAZING! The guys ok the staff are SUPER nice and always checking if you needed something, the pool was perfect, the room always clean, the manager was really nice and even got us complementary drinks... You give this place a chance and you won't regret it, I was very fortunate to meet some amazing guys too. I truly recomend it, I promise you, you won't regret it

Nice place. Super friendly staff and a great location. The only thing I wish was that the pool was better secluded. On our final night we had to deal with a heckler from a nearby hotel shouting at us while in the pool. This isn’t Cheston’s fault but it would be great to have a higher gate and perhaps some sort of extended wrap around tarp to make peering in more difficult. Either way, we will return! Great place!

Fist time here and have been to guesthouses nearby in the past. Short version friendly. Both the staff and other guests. Great service interesting times with other vacationers. Mixed crowd in terms of ages. Hurricane Irma has trashed much of the poolside jungle so it will be a while before there is great shade spots by the pool
