Dixon Grove Shelter

First timer absolutely loved it excellent place and people next time definitely got to ride the jet 🎿

Update: the ranger told us not to use hammocks on the cottonwoods. So don’t do what I did …. This is a nice place with a shelter and a beach, but know that the beach cannot be reserved. On 7-14-23 there was a mean lady there who was trying to tell me and my wife we couldn’t be on the beach at 4:30 because she rented the pavilion and was having her wedding on the beach. The beach is not included in the reservation, so don’t bother other people who are trying to enjoy their day at the beach with their family. If you do have to ask a favor from a stranger don’t be a B about it. We got to the beach at noon btw and she came up to us after we set all our stuff up, started telling us when we had to leave by, then set all these chairs up right next us while she talked passive aggressively to her friend about my wife. We stopped at the front gate to confirm the beach an not be reserved, and that is correct. It’s a wonderful state park and we are happy living so close.

Fun spot near the beach, a bit a foot traffic which can make it a little busy.

Great location for our event close to water the only complaint I have is the restroom facilities were not operational and the portal pottys were not not very well kept they need to be cleaned more often.

Just had our family reunion here....lots of tables...plenty of shade, close to the water, volleyball net. Secluded location.....Our family had a great time!!!!

Lovely place to spend weekend with family in nature. But it is too crowded during summer.

Fun spot to have a party. Plugs for crock pots. Picnik tables. It was clean enough.
