The Tool Box
The Tool Box in El Paso offers a nightclub atmosphere with vibrant lights and music, making it an appealing spot for a night out. The venue features a friendly clientele and accommodating bartenders, along with outdoor seating and a back patio bar perfect for private parties. However, the service can be inconsistent, with reports of slow attention and occasional rudeness from staff.
Patrons should be cautious with card payments, as there have been instances of discrepancies in charges. This was the last stop for alcohol, on the way home. We visited on a Sunday night, driving by Downtown. Not surprising, the bar was pretty dead, but that's exactly what suited us that night. It's got nightclub vibe with the lights and music to go along with it. The service is a big thumbs down. (to be fair, I think he was they only one working) No one there to offer another round, you must go up to the bar yourself. Worst yet, as we getting ready to leave, we were asked to clean our own table, (ok I'm exaggerating a bit) but yeah, he asked if we could do his job and bring ALL the empties that had accumulated there, the nerve. If you're wondering, we did. LOL And would I visit again? Sure.
my fiance wanted to come here so I said yes. I had a beer and she had a shot and when we were about to leave the bartender took my card away. when he came back I confronted him why he had to leave to another building. right away I froze my card. this place will attempt fraud. be warned. my beer the bartender said was $4, so my fiance's shot of fireball came out to $7?
Here on a work trip. I understand a bartender catering to his regulars but you shouldn’t totally ignore the others in the bar. 20 minutes to ask me if I needed another drink while serving drink after drink to the only 10 others in the bar lol. Gay bars are closing up across the country. Take benefit in the business you get especially on a mid-week day. Just my 2 cents. I will say this place seems like it would be a vibe on the weekends.
Don’t visit this place they will steal money from you. I ordered one shot that should have been less than 10$ the next morning I saw a charge of 18$ the following day it updated to 20$. Went to the location to speak to the owner he wasn’t there. I left my phone number since the bartender told me he will notify his boss never received a call. It’s a disgrace to do this to your clients who come to have fun. To the guy who served me that night needs to be fired.
Door guy on Friday night 6/27/25 was rude and insulting to customers. He thinks he being funny, but no one should ever talk to to customers that way.
It has mostly gay clientele friendly bartenders they do have outdoor seating you can smoke they also have a back patio bar that is available for private parties and have a dance floor. Where is a club upstairs call cocktails great views friendly bartenders
If you pay with a card of any sort, save your receipt and check your statement. Also, drinks are weak. Inside bar is consistently smells like vomit. Bathrooms are in serious need of attention. Music is good, though. And if you smoke, you can on the patio and have a seat while watching the crowds walk by. They don't abide by the no smoking ordinance.
