Side Kicks Saloon

A fun little dive gay bar. The decor is dated- showing its history if you take the time to look around. They have a dedicated dance floor and enclosed smoking patio. There is a second bar that opens on busy nights by the dance floor, a pool table for slower nights, and lots of dart boards for either. Bartenders are personable, owner is present often, and the music varies depending on the crowd.

Great place to get out and have a drink or two see a show, throw some darts play around of pool or go on a night when there is poker just a free game to just play and hang out with awesome people. Now the street car goes right by and has a stop not to far away.

I love Sidekick’s Saloon! Established in 1990 this is Kansas City’s oldest Gay Bar! Their drinks are strong and extremely economical, 15% cheaper than Woody’s and 25% than Missie B’s. They have great music whether DJ’d or their playlists, and amazing movies! They have darts and pool, with live shows, including an amateur drag show on Thursdays. This is a welcoming place, where Kerry, Devin and Joe, all of the bartenders will go out of their way to make you feel welcome! 🙂

It's a welcoming spot with a friendly staff. The happy hour prices were quite reasonable.

This bar is one of our favorites. It's a chill, laid back place to get a drink and have a good time. It has loyal regular customes and we have always felt welcomed here. They have drag shows from time to time, poker nights, dart nights and also has a pool table. It is a cash only place but they have an ATM if needed. Go and have a drink there you'll enjoy it.

THIS place is bar meets community center. Buddy takes good care of his customers and every time I’m in KCMO, I head to Sidekicks! Fun music, fun drag shows, fun people!
