Landmark Kendall Square Cinema
This theater in Cambridge offers a modern cinematic experience with a large, high-definition screen that delivers crisp visuals, ideal for immersive viewing. The comfortable, reclining seats come with adjustable inclines, enhancing relaxation during longer screenings. While the ambiance can feel serene due to its lower crowd density, the facility maintains cleanliness and functionality, providing a pleasant alternative to busier venues.
Concession offerings are limited but well-regarded for their quality, and the restrooms are kept in good condition, ensuring convenience without long waits. However, occasional maintenance concerns—such as facility upkeep—have been noted, suggesting room for improvement in consistency. Overall, it presents a well-balanced option for those seeking a quieter, comfortable movie-going experience.

This used to be a great theater but it’s very worn down. The seats are all worn and the food and drink prices are outrageous. The bathroom is on another floor so it’s not easy to get out during the movie.
Don’t come here. This place is a dump. They have a bad rodent infestation, and the mice run around your feet & climb on the seats during the movie! Mold in the ceilings. The restrooms are dirty & broken down. Five toilet stalls in one restroom alone were all duct-taped shut with old out of order signs on them. The line for the restroom went down the hall. Missed 15 minutes of the movie just waiting to use the restroom. Only 1 working soap dispenser & toilet paper all over the floor. The management/owners should be ashamed of themselves for charging premium prices for such a trashy theatre they make no effort to maintain to a decent standard. Save your money & go somewhere less filthy if you don’t enjoy exposing yourself to health hazards.
We went to watch the demon slayer movie at 6pm-9pm. First time being in this theater, the screen was huge and showed the graphics very well. Seats were very comfy. It has a button where you can adjust the incline of your seat. I didn't get any concession snacks but it smelled really good. The theater was kind of empty, nothing compared to NYC movie theaters. I went to the bathroom and it was empty but very clean. It was a little eerie since it was empty but other than that I had a good time!
It was nice enough theater. Some oddities are: they don't have enough bathrooms. Or stagger movie times so that movies don't end at the same time. Very long bathroom lines. Very nice popcorn though I wish there was a condiment counter for me to butter my own popcorn. Best popcorn that I recall.
The courtyard leading into this cinema is new and beautiful. The cinema lobby is normal looking. The bathrooms had half the stalls with "out of order" signs on the doors, the first working stall I went in had a broken toilet seat, the stalls are very cramped, one of the two soap dispensers was empty, graffiti, just kinda dingy and outdated. The theater seats are old and peeling apart. Two seats right in the middle of the theater had white tarps over them that said "Out of order." The seats only recline a bit and you can't put your feet up. There's mice. Overall, ew. Don't forget to validate your parking garage ticket in the lobby. It's just a do it yourself kiosk that scans your parking pass and applies the discount, so you don't have to go see a movie or anything. Brings the parking garage price for a few hours from $37-40 down to $3 or $4.
Good movies, some of which are not shown at the major movie theater chains. Also fewer previews and, importantly, fewer ads before the movie. Comfortable seats. Beer, wine, and popcorn are priced pretty much the same as elsewhere (i.e. very expensive). They validate parking at the adjacent garage, which otherwise is *very* expensive, this being Kendal Square. They should pay a little more attention to the restrooms.
This theater is in shambles every time I go. Seats (both bathroom and in the screen rooms) are grimy and often broken. Has a luxury facade because of its location, but is pretty substandard inside. I need to start going elsewhere, especially when the cost of tickets are rising but the standard isn’t.
