Smith Discount Books

I commute via e-bike, and part of that is carrying a backpack. In that backpack is a $1,200 camera and another item I do not feel comfortable 'leaving at the front door'. I was waiting for a nearby shop to open, when I noticed Smith Books. I was excited to check it out, and had time and cash to burn, on my day off. Upon entering, I was asked to set my bag by the door. Leaving this at the door is unsafe and leaves nobody to assume liability if my property is stolen. Also, welcoming your customers by treating them as potential criminals, is not a great business practice.

Small mom & pop book store. They’ve been here since I was in high school, even earlier according to the nice owner. My child is happy with the book she chose.

Bookworm on a budget? This is the place for you. Here you can find a book for anyone and everyone- and at a discount! The selection is vast, and well organized, and the staff is ever so friendly and helpful. I'll be back!

Great selection, but not so much of a discount on books.

I mean the books are used but in good condition, still most are only like a dollar cheaper than the publisher price. Depends on what you're looking for I suppose, but a dollar difference doesn't seem that great for a book reseller. Not a bad place by any means, but if you're looking for a bargain book seller this ain't it

If you need it in a book you can find it here. Huge selection of books and even the hard to find. An amazing occult and other text. Best section on the non-abrahamic religion books I have seen in Virginia Beach!

I love visiting this store! There's a great variety to choose from and my kids always leave with something new to read. I've found books that I read as a child that I completely forgot about. That was a happy surprise!
