Indian River Park South Side

Very fun trail to bike! Also great for a short nature walk when I’m between seeing clients.

I brought my dog here for a nature walk. It started raining but the leaf coverage did an excellent job keeping us dry during the light rain. There are little name placards to identify some of the trees and trail markings to follow for different trails. It's a nice quiet and peaceful place to walk.

This is a good park in Chesapeake, VA. Admittedly I was lost for a bit and confused because it was a multiuse trail with mountain bike sections. There are some really pretty aesthetics and natural canopies along the trail. There are no restrooms or shelters as far as I saw. I'll have to explore deeper next time so I can see more of what it has to offer and learn how to navigate the full trail and NOT get lost 😅

awesome to have such a long walking trail. I will return here a lot. my two gripes are there is no portapotty at the trailhead which I've grown to appreciate and no map. the first time going, with no clear trail markers, made me have to rely heavily on my walking app to find my way back to the car since there are a lot of different turns you can take. However this did not severely impact my enjoyment and it was wonderful to find a place to walk so close to home. I enjoyed being in the nature. would not wanna go after rain! there are places to do mountain biking and tricks but since there isnt a clear way to get to it without a map it's hard to tell you how in my review. I loved it!

This is a beautiful little hidden maze of trails with a rudimentary bike obstacle course [ I know that's NOT what you call it 😬🤦🏽‍♀️] tucked inside. The trails appear to be well maintained underneath a wonderful canopy of trees/vegetation. The little bridges and 'obstacles' add to the fun of walking the trails. There are a couple of different entrances, so if the main parking area is full... just keep driving around.

Interesting park, there is one main trail that rings the entire grounds. There's also a lot of criss-crossing trails. Generally easy to hike for the average hiker. If your bike riding some spots will take all of your skill sets to get across. Great place to go bird watching. Sadly there is no map of the trails at either entrance.
