⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Christmas Dinner Cruise on the Star of Knoxville! Our Christmas dinner cruise aboard the Star of Knoxville was nothing short of enchanting! From the moment we stepped onto the beautifully decorated riverboat, the warm glow of lights and festive atmosphere set the perfect holiday mood. The crew welcomed us with genuine smiles and exceptional hospitality that made the entire evening feel special. The Christmas buffet was absolutely delicious—every dish tasted homemade and full of holiday flavor. The carved meats were tender, the sides were seasoned perfectly, and the desserts were simply irresistible. We were truly impressed by the quality and variety of the meal. As we dined, the gentle cruise along the Tennessee River created a peaceful, scenic backdrop. Watching the reflections of Christmas lights shimmer on the water while listening to cheerful holiday music made the entire experience feel like a scene from a Christmas movie. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. Their attention to detail, friendly service, and festive energy really made the night memorable. If you're looking for a holiday experience that captures the magic of Christmas, the Star of Knoxville Christmas Dinner Cruise is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be making this a yearly tradition! ✨
Great experience, FOOD sucked but loved the boat ride and a beer with husband and friends, food was cheap and horrible
Lunch river cruise. Had a fabulous time on the river with my family! Very easy booking tickets, great value! Never felt rushed. Was greeted by Bryson our server. He took our drink order and brought drinks right away. Cast off and running right on time. Within 15 minutes, everyone was served at the buffet. All the staff were very polite. Buffet, DJ, Dance floor, Well stocked bar, Covered top deck for sightseeing, Clean restrooms. BBQ buffet was very good, Sweet pork BBQ, Mac and cheese, Baked beans, Potato salad, Coleslaw, Rolls and Apple cobbler. Would only suggest something fresh, salad, fruit or vegetable. Only one item, coleslaw, was not a high carb or sweet. Highly recommended for you and your family!
The crew & music were nice but the rest was not. The cruise was supposed to be 2 hours and we just got 1 1/2. Feel shorted there. Food was bad- salad was super soggy and looked like it had been from the day before or just melted into itself. The cut potatoes were super salty and so over cooked they could have just been mashed. The veggies were just yuck. The rice and meat were ok but for the price you pay with all the fees, it just wasn’t worth it. Disappointing and I would not recommend unless things improved.
Our family boarded an afternoon sight seeing cruise on a Thursday. There is a clean restroom on the upper deck. Music was playing but not too loudly. The captain gave some history and told a few jokes. Affordable drinks and popcorn were available to purchase. Soda and cups of water are refilled free. The cruise lasted 90 minutes. We lucked out with perfect weather but the boat has a roof so even if it rains you can enjoy the trip as long as it’s not too windy. On the lower deck there was meal service but it was sold out the day we traveled. A fun experience!
Great Family Experience on the Star of Knoxville! We had a fantastic time on this classic paddlewheel riverboat this past May! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the views along the Tennessee River were beautiful. The boat is very well maintained for such a historic icon, adding to the charm of the whole experience. It felt like stepping back in time with a relaxing and fun atmosphere the whole family enjoyed. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Knoxville or looking for a unique dinner cruise experience!
The scenery is not great and the boat is definitely not in great condition. During our ride the anchor fell off the side of the boat into the water. We informed them but it took 25 min as we were pulling into the dock for them to come and look at it. And despite multiple adult witnesses who told them no one touched it and no kids were even within arms reach of it when it fell the staff kept saying to each other out loud, "a kid knocked it into the water." First of all adults were there and witnessed it fall with no interference from anyone on the boat. Second, there were no staff members anywhere during our ride except the guy serving popcorn, and if they are concerned about kids knocking an anchor into the water (which can't be an easy thing to do and very unlikely for small children) then the company has the responsibility to make sure the anchor is adequately secured or guarded by a staff member and inaccessible to the passengers. Seemed like they just wanted someone to blame.
