Interesting scenic location. Lots to see from the cruise ship berth. INTREPID, MEXICAN tallship. Trip from LaGuardia took over 90 min. The terminal is huge and multi-level so getting around is a chore.

My wife and I set sail at 2am leaving ny for Bermuda because Norwegian escape had mechanical problems getting into Manhattan cruise terminal. They charged us taxes on our drinks because we were delayed in ny for so long! At 11pm the same night September 24 2025 they shut all acess to get food except room service which is a separate charge. We didn't get to Bermuda until 6pm sunset and missed the complimentary ferry because we were so late and was forced to take a cab which cost 120.00 American! The only thing Norwegian offered us was 100 onbored credit which was eaten by the taxes and a sorry better luck next time . Not nice Norwegian! By the way 4 stars for Manhattan cruise terminal because now the good. before my wife and I took that late cruise with Norwegian we also had a bash on vigin brilliant lady . It remained docked at Manhattan cruise terminal but was a wonderful experience . The food was great and the virgin staff was enjoyable. Wife and I were invited because we were on scarlet lady 2023 both times excellent.

Love the fact they have a departure ramp so you aren't jumping out in NYC traffic. It would be nice if they had bag tag holders that you could buy if needed.

The Manhattan Cruise Terminal is a well-organized and scenic departure point for cruise travelers right in the heart of New York City. Located on the west side of Manhattan along the Hudson River, it offers an unforgettable start (or end) to any voyage, with views of the skyline, nearby parks, and the bustling city just steps away. The terminal itself is modern, clean, and fairly efficient. Check-in procedures are generally smooth, with helpful staff guiding passengers through security and boarding. Lines can be long during peak hours, but they usually move at a steady pace. Once inside, signage is clear, and the waiting areas are comfortable enough for short stays. One of the highlights of departing from this terminal is the unforgettable view as your ship sails out—passing the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the lower Manhattan skyline. It’s a picture-perfect moment that sets the tone for the entire cruise. Accessibility is decent, with options for taxis, ride shares, and nearby subway stations, though traffic in the area can be intense so early arrival is a must. Parking is available on-site but can be pricey, so public transport or drop-off is often preferred. A convenient and iconic cruise terminal with stunning city views, helpful staff, and a location that puts you right in the middle of New York magic.

Cruising out of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on the Norwegian Escape was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The terminal was well-organized, easy to navigate, and made the embarkation process smooth and stress-free. We sailed to Bermuda and had an unforgettable time—beautiful scenery, perfect weather, and tons of fun both on the ship and on the island. The ship itself was top-notch with great food, entertainment, and a friendly, professional crew that made the whole trip even better. I parked my truck right at the terminal, and it was safe and secure the entire time. It was ready and waiting for me when we got back, which made disembarkation super convenient. Highly recommend cruising out of Manhattan on the Norwegian Escape—can’t wait to go again!

It's intimidating driving to this cruise port but it was actually easy to get to from the George Washington bridge. I made a reservation on their app which was simple to use. Embarkation and debarkation was smooth and fairly quick. The port was easy to navigate. And the views from the ship are incredible out of this port.

There is something so special about taking a cruise from Manhattan NYC. We love being close to home and not flying to the cruise terminal. The process to park and check in with your luggage is super simple. Located right next to the Intrepid, it's cool to look over and see the SR71 and the Concord as you back out of the dock, seeing Lady Liberty and the Empire State Building and Freedom Tower from the boat is just extra special.
