Mansion Marina

Great marina with a few restaurants to choose from across the street. Ed is the owner and very helpful. All floating docks with the fuel dock loved at the office on the head pier. Not many big slips, max would be around 50 feet.

Very clean and organized marina. Highly recommend inquiring about a slip.

Price is fair. Owners are friendly. Marina is very basic, but in good shape. Fuel, water, and electricity. Groceries, laundry, and train/subway station about 1 mile away. A couple decent restaurants and small shops are near the marina. A 15-20 minute bike ride to the beach. 1+ hour to get into downtown Manhattan.

At first glance this Marina seems to have recovered well from Hurricane Sandy. However ongoing maintenance is a problem. Trash cans are not emptied. The showers have no curtains but this is not important as there is no hot water and has been done for some time. Even the dock repairs are less than ideal as some of the boards used are badly splintered. There are bare wires hanging out of the light posts. All in all it seems there could be much improvement.

The owner of this place is quite literally greasy. His word is not to be trusted. Place is gross. Good luck even finding toilet paper. As a captain I am in several marinas/boat yards a year. The owner was very professional and his prices were great.. Thank you very much captain Christopher Staker ( my wife’s google account would not let me post on mine)

The person that runs this marina, Eddie, is a dirtbag. When I made a reservation for a transient slip while on the Great Loop, I asked if the marina had showers. Eddie answered, "Yes." What he "conveniently forgot" to mention was that there is no hot water and hasn’t been any since Sandy. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way the next morning when I went to take a shower. I saw Eddie and asked him about it and he said with a smirk on his face, "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. Sorry." A willful omission is the same thing as a lie. Boaters, especially Loopers, should take their business elsewhere while in Great Kills.
