This place is amazing! I especially love the beautiful mural of my dear friends’ work. The food was even better than I thought, and the whole vibe was great. We had a business meeting after work on the patio, and if it was that much fun then, I can’t imagine what it will be like on a full night of entertainment. Keep being authentically you, 5801! I love it.
The vibe is great. My first gay bar ive ever been too. The bartender Devon was fantastic he matched my vibe. I asked for the gayest drink and I got it. Frozen Cosmo was actually really good. (Im a beer person). After I got my burger he asked how was my gay burger (blue chease burger) very good. That is some top tier service it was awesome and I'll Definitely have to come back when I come to Pittsburgh. We came her for our 2 year anniversary so it was a great experience.
Larry the bartender is so great! He's always friendly and makes great recommendations for food and bev. The environment he creates is so welcoming and warm. It's a great neighborhood (and gayborhood) hang bar with just the right mix of cozy spots to chat, different events like trivia and darts, drag shows and a good weekend dance vibe.
Such a cool place to hang out. The atmosphere is great, the patrons have been so kind and affirming, and the staff are wonderful. The drinks are delicious, the food is excellent, and trivia night is a lot of fun, too!
Visiting from out of town. Went "early" (around 5) for a drink and something to eat. Sat at the bar. Bunch of scream women at 3 different tables drowned out any hope of a peaceful visit. Later I found out that Sunday's are their busiest times. My bad I guess. Anyway, drink pour was ok and the pizza was very good. Managed to chat a bit with a local guy sitting next to me which alleviated my "noise" issue a bit. Would I go back when back in the 'burg? Probably not.
I was with my best friend there on Valentine’s Day and as we were walking through the crowd a bartender was shoving everyone. She then proceeded to shove a disabled person and when my friend told her not to do that because it wasn’t nice she looked at her and said "I WORK HERE SO DON’T TOUCH ME OR I WILL HAVE YOU THROWN OUT". The security guard then came up to my friend and asked her to her to leave. What a shame because it’s such a nice place to go to. Maybe just look into who you guys hire next time.
I’ve been coming to this bar ever since I moved to Pittsburgh, and I’ve never experienced anything like what happened last Friday (January 30th, 2026). My friend and I come here every Friday for happy hour. Over the past few weeks, we noticed that our tabs didn’t seem to match what we were actually ordering, so this time I decided to ask for our receipts. That’s when we saw we were both charged for shots of Espolón tequila—something neither of us ordered. I was drinking margaritas and always ask for well tequila in mixed drinks. This makes me wonder how many times we’ve been charged for drinks we never had. Completely unacceptable. When we brought this up, we were told to speak with the manager to correct the tab. He was extremely rude and immediately accused us of ordering the shots, even though he wasn’t even present when we got there. He was more focused on watching RuPaul than helping. He then claimed my card had been declined weeks earlier, which forced me to call my bank and dispute a double charge. Thanks for the extra hassle!! You come here expecting a good time and leave not wanting to return. Management clearly needs to address issues with staff to prevent this from continuing. That so-called manager has no business working in customer service. I’ve only seen him on Fridays and Saturdays—about 5’10", skinny, wearing sweats and a gray Carhartt beanie. He’s always rude, but this encounter was beyond the limit. This happened around 9-10pm in the middle bar. If you decide to come here, be careful and always ask for your receipt—otherwise, you may end up overcharged.
