Croc’s 19th Street Bistro is a solid spot in Virginia Beach with a relaxed, neighborhood vibe and consistently good food. The menu has a nice variety, and everything we tried was well-prepared and flavorful. The live music adds a great atmosphere without being overwhelming, making it a fun place to unwind for dinner or drinks. Service was friendly and attentive, though things can move a bit slower when it’s busy—which is the main reason for the four stars instead of five. Overall, it’s a dependable choice for good food, good music, and a laid-back evening. Definitely worth a visit, and I’d happily come back.
Fun kitschy place for drinks. Stopped in one evening for a bite as it was right there. Decor is eclectic and food is Lebanese based but the offerings were a handful and mostly just apps. Ordered the crabcakes and cheesecake and wasn't disappointed. Both were flavorful and cheesecake tasted like cheesecake. Pototes were a bit salty but would go back.
Sarah was an awesome waitress. My tuna was cooked to perfection. I requested slightly blackened, and that's what I got. The Bartender fixed our drinks exactly as we requested. It has been a long time since I was here for a girls birthday brunch, I recall it was good then. I don't know why it has taken me so long to go back, but I will frequent it again soon.
I have been wanting to come to the Drag Brunch. Scheduled this a few days before to celebrate a girlfriends birthday. Let me just say I did not know what to expect but my expectations were superseded! Be prepared to laugh hard, drink, and throw money more than eating. It is a not only a show, but a whole experience! Allot about 2-3 hours of your day for this and you will not regret it. Upon arrival they were setting up all the tables so everyone was at the bar getting their drinks. Then they sat us down by our parties. I made reservations on Open Table. The DJ was playing music the whole time and he's playing the latest hits and some throw backs. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Our drinks kept coming upon order. All of our meals and apps were delicious. I am obsessed with their avocado toast without meat only the poached egg on top. YUM! The experience of drag queens dancing and singing was cool. However, the part where the main host who is a drag, talks and jokes with audience and pulls select audience members to play games, perform and take shots on the house. It was so much fun! I can't even describe it, you just have to go! I laughed so much! I want to do it again!!! If you haven't been you are truly missing out!
I highly recommend this cozy and nice place, located just a 10-minute walk from the beach on 19th street. The cleanliness of the place is very good and the service was great. The food exceeded our expectations, making it worth the wait. We particularly enjoyed the delicious blackened Tuna bites and the Mazza appetizer, which included hummus, babaganoj, two pieces of kafta, two pieces of chicken, and tabuleh. We also tried the saujoq flat bread and the meat pita bread, both of which were fantastic. Considering the quality of the food, the prices were very reasonable. The only minor issue we encountered was the wait time for our food, but it was well worth it. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! There was parking on the premises too!
Crocs is A long standing Virginia Beach oceanfront establishment. It has always provided a Great dining and gathering experience. Their happy hour menu is tops. I religiously go on Fridays for shrimp fingers and fried pickles. Also, Great drink specials. What stands out is the service. We gather in a large group and our server is the best I've ever seen. She is amazing. This is a testament of how well trained rhe entire staff is. Management cares greatly to provide a positive experience to every patron. I highly recommend Crocs for dinner and socializing.
So right off the bat I'm going to say get the GARLIC fries if you love garlic. It is the most intense flavorful garlic fries I've ever had. Crisp fries and slathered with a garlic paste which is strong and packs an awesome flavor punch. Moving on, the beer battered pickle spears were tasty as well. The baba ghanoush was also very good. The pomegranate pulps added a nice fruity flavor pop when you got one with the cucumber or baked pita bread. For the main course the crab cake sandwich was delicious. Just the right amount and not lacking in any way. The salmon BLT was tender moist and delicious as well. Onion rings were as good as expected, but the garlic fries were the clear winner. Lol. The server was a joy to speak with and with us being the only customers at that hour it felt like we rented out the whole place to ourselves for dinner. Kinda cool feeling. Everyone needs to try this place out in my opinion. 5 stars for sure. And remember, get the GARLIC fries!!!
