I love the lighting at Jackhammer, it’s so fun and sets a fantastic mood. I have been frequenting this bar for well over a year now, and always have a good time. Event nights to tend to get crowded, but I appreciate that the space provides such a range of themes and occasions. Especially those that cater to a wider range of audiences. As a nontraditional patron of the bar, it was a little intimidating at first. The staff has never bat an eye, they are happy to serve. Huge shoutout to bartender Chris with the white glasses, he *always* makes me feel incredibly welcome and is a great reassurance that I belong there. Overall, if you’re into an upbeat and playful environment, this is a good place for you.
The most abundant and comfortable couches my butt has ever had the pleasure of sitting on. It’s like god himself created this couch when he created the heavens Velvet arms unfold, welcoming every weary guest— pillows hum with warmth. Here, the night is soft, a chorus of joy and rest, couches hold our hearts
Vibe is unfiltered and inclusive 🏳️🌈🔥—multi‑level LGBTQ+ bar with drinks, darts, pool & great DJs keeping the dance floor bumpin’ late 🍸🎶. Rogers Park crowd is friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms and some spaces could use love 😅, and it’s definitely loud and wild. Worth a visit if you want fun with edge! 💥
Met a friend there yesterday for the first time. The staff and service is great! The club space itself is very nice and updated. I was really impressed. The negative is the obscenely loud music. I can’t recall ever being in a bar where the music was so loud that I couldn’t even speak to anyone without shouting. I get it’s a club but please consider creating a slightly less loud space to socialize with patrons without having to shout and only hear part of the conversation. I know you have a patio area with a smoking area which is appreciated and the patio area is beautiful but its winter and its use is limited. I left after an hour due to the sound. Loud music and a big crowd is very overwhelming as well as overstimulating for many folks. You have a beautiful spot but please consider creating a less loud area. Thanks!
Jackhammer is a great place made great by service from people like chris and the other absolute saints who work the bar and coat check. The cruisy side of the trans community is well taken care of here, glad we can take over and have our own nights! I’ll be honest its odd they charge for water and they play the music too loud but its CLEAN. I cannot believe the backroom is so clean.
Was here for market days and the coach after dark party. Excellent space and the crowds are hot and non judgemental. Guys of all body types sizes. Felt really comfortable. Next time I'm in Chicago, definitely coming by again.
Please do better clothes check downstairs! I waited 15 min just to check my clothes downstairs. A lot of guys are just chit chatting blocking the actual line, I think adding signs that say please have your clothes ready to put in a box would help. Also waiting to check out and grab your clothes takes just as long.
