Man where to start... I have been in the counter-culture since I was a kid, and coming here felt like a time machine. To see the history and forgotten tales of forgotten youth and reminiscing about shows with family has created a memory that I will truly cherish. From Lux Interior's stage worn t-shirt, the pennywise garage, the germs deleted scene from Cheech and chongs up in smoke. You can find new music here through their curated catalogs that are accessed through QR codes throughout the exhibit. The staff here are all incredibly knowledgeable and out of this world friendly!! There is a full bar and they have live bands on weekends. There is also a tattoer on site as well as a record store filled with so many good picks!! (I was stoked to find psychobilly) Be sure to check out their website for guest tours from some of the most influential punk/rock bands. I will definitely be returning with anybody who comes to visit!
I am honestly not a big punk rock fan, but this place was AWESOME. Extremely well done museum. Made me appreciate the genre and culture of punk rock much more. The place is spotless, spacious, and full of informative displays and exhibits with tons of amazing memorabilia. It was organized in a way that flowed well. I was worried my ears would be pounded by loud punk rock music the whole time but that wasn’t the case. It was quiet enough to enjoy and take it all in. Some really neat interactive spaces too like a legit tattoo parlor, and the ability to shred on some famous artist’s old guitars. The people were all super nice and welcoming too. Highly recommend a visit — even if you’re not the biggest punk rock enthusiast!
The Punk Rock Museum is one of the coolest museums I’ve ever visited! You’re not just looking at exhibits, you are touching and experiencing a significant part of music history! It’s super interactive, and the guided tour we took added SO much to our experience! The vinyl store and the jam room were really great! My wife isn’t even into the scene as much as I am and she thought it was a highlight of our trip! TPRM is not to be missed if you’re in Vegas!
This museum is such a treasure trove of punk history. There's memorabilia and articles and photos and instruments. There's even a room where you can play some legendary guitars through their original amps. They offer tours led by legends in the industry. There's a bar. The gift shop is a lot of fun, too. They check ID when you walk in. Make sure you download the app – info by the register – for bonus content. Also, make sure you scan the walls for QR codes for bonus content.
About $40 per person on a friday afternoon and it was an absolutely amazing experience, I'm glad that I took the time to walk through. The museum itself is taken care of and clean. The atmosphere is everything that was expected. There's a merch store right when you walk in, a full bar/patio on the first floor, and a vinyl store on the second floor. The jam room was awesome, especially being able to hold/play the instruments. I look forward to seeing this museum develop and hopefully bring in some more authentic pieces/interactive exhibits.
This place is really interesting and very cool! It has a wealth of different displays and artifacts/memorabilia for you to see. It covers a wealth of punks history. The price of admission was very reasonable and you can take as long as you want to soak in every detail. It is a great spot for any punk enthusiast!
I took my friend for her birthday and she got free entry. It was a awesome experience so much to see. They even had a room you could play guitars in, and a great exhibition of punk concert worn outfits. Cool gift shop kick ass bar attached. We loved it highly recommended. The staff was really great made sure we saw all the cool stuff they had on display.
