Falcon North is the deep North Long Beach half sibling of The Falcon. This little big divey queer bar is very much open to all with cigar socials, karaoke night, Latin events, Bear & Body Positive nights, Drag, Sports Team celebrations, drink specials, vending machine snacks, billiards and bar games and more! Parking is along the alley street, read signs to avoid fines. Restrooms are clean and easy. Karaoke sign up is via QR scan with KaraFun app. Flat screens inside the main bar as well as the patio area. Enter through the alley way and soar in for a good time.
Can be fun when outside organizers host parties but tends to be empty otherwise. Sunday afternoon karaoke draws a mostly female crowd. They haven't updated their website since September. Rumors have it, that it may be up for sale.
I absolutely love this place. I went here during the Primal event. The vibe was amazing the bartender was so sweet and kind. I can see myself coming back here
This seemed like a cool place, but they lied to us. They had karaoke advertised for Thursday both online and in their ads in the bar, but when we asked when it started they said they weren’t doing in. We’d already spent a couple hundred dollars waiting on them to start, so they basically lied to us to get our money. If they had been truthful in their advertising we would have gone somewhere else from the start.
First time visiting this place this past weekend - nice outdoor seating area with tables socially distanced from each other. Orders are taken by staff and brought to you, and the outdoor space has large screens playing music videos. Drinks were decent but it's cash only - so bring your own (but they told me there's also an atm). Also, park on the street - it's an alley entrance but there's no parking back there and a ton of people chill back there - better to not even do down there.
A terrific gay bar in the middle of nowhere but Freeway close. I enjoy the fact that it features both indoor and outdoor patio areas. The drinks are honest and a phenomenal value and if you're lucky you'll be served by the vision of a trans or CD lady. I enjoy going there for the Sunday afternoon beer busts. The option to sing karaoke is also included. Really refreshing to be able to enjoy a gay bar where yes there's a good crowd but there's also enough room to spread out and walk around and change the scenery so to speak from time to time. Sign up with their website for special events.
This new re-vamp is awful. From the cover charge they're implementing to the jaded rude staff. This place is officially off my list. I went last night and stood at the bar for 10 minutes just being ignored by a drag queen and two bar tenders on their phones. Eventually one of the bartenders looked up and saw me standing there and instead of helping me he went outside to collect bottles and glasses lying around. Never going back to this place again. And don't get me started on the genius placement of the Karaoke crowd.
