Splash Bar San Jose
Splash Bar San Jose offers a lively atmosphere with energetic music and a spacious layout, including a pleasant patio and ample seating. The venue's three restrooms are a notable convenience during busy nights. Drinks are hit or miss, but when they're well-made, they're excellent. However, the lack of a designated smoking area and recent pricing policies may deter some visitors.
The establishment has faced criticism for inconsistent service and occasional staff behavior. While it maintains a fun environment, recent management decisions and security issues have led to mixed reviews. Despite these drawbacks, Splash Bar San Jose remains a popular spot with a dynamic energy, though potential visitors should be aware of its current challenges.

The club definitely has its highlights. The music is always poppin’, the space is big with a nice patio, plenty of seating, and even three different restrooms, which is a win on a busy night. Drinks can be a hit or miss depending on who’s behind the bar, but when they’re good, they’re really good. On the downside, there’s no designated smoking area, which is rough for people who need a quick step-out. Management also feels a bit greedy lately. The cover charge is steep, and they’re still charging the full $20 even at 1 AM. They used to cut it in half closer to closing, and honestly, when there’s no special event, the cover should be around $10. Overall, fun spot with great energy, but the pricing decisions are giving "we know you’ll pay anyway."
Drank to honor my mothers memory who just passed, went to use the restroom, SJU exchange student raped me in the stall, left, then security took me out refusing to listen assuming I was wasted... Yeah. Thus I've never gone back. This place isn't worth all the problems it has what with security, very light pours on drinks, fighting, x rated activities on the dance floors... Don't go, find somewhere else. Renegades IS far better!
Paid a cover, waited at the lower bar, and watched bartenders repeatedly serve people who walked up after me while ignoring others. It felt selective, unprofessional, and honestly uncomfortable. When you charge a cover, basic respectful service shouldn’t be optional. Hoping management addresses consistency and professionalism behind the bar.
Michael was such a jerk he made me walk in a straight line just not to let me into Splash I felt so disrespected bc I've been to this club so many times and I frankly felt discriminated by Michael and manager Jonathan. I feel like they were so unfair and they should be replaced by kinder and nicer people bc they didn't represent Splash at all and this was the 1st night I didn't feel welcomed by this club/bar!!! I hope these people get spoken to or fired bc Splash has always been my safe place but Jonathan and Michael ruined it for me. I hope they get their bad karma. If I was so incoherent how is it that I remembered their names and wrote this review right after Michael was a jerk? I saw Splash was hiring new people but you'd assume it would be fun or kinder people, but nope. Frankly from all the years I've gone to Splash (January 17, 2026) was the worst night of my life.
As of 04/17/21 This bar is Open...It's just picking up, they have still the distance and mask restrictions. If you go around 7 is better you have more chances to get inside and stay there or else the have tables on the street. Good music. I started feeling kinda going back to normal.
I really felt people should be wearing masks in here. During the holidays, so many infections going around, I can't believe how irresponsible everyone was being. Very insensitive to folks that have a concern about their health. Really insensitive at the end of the day.
I’ve been going here ever since i moved to California 4 years ago, every time i visit San Jose is just a great time coming to splash . The only Reason why i lowered the Ratings is because recently they hired a new guy at the door & he’s been very rude & a little Racist. Ps I’m not very confrontational but this time it was just needed. He didn’t allow my friend in because he didn’t have an "American ID" .
