Me and my wife are coming here for two years - have tried almost all the gyms in Daly City and Pacifica and hands down this is the best place. Good towel service, front desk is helpful, fair pricing, almost every equipment well maintained, cleaning crew is phenomenal. No creeps whatsoever and genuinely nice crowd. I’m not sure why the reviews and scores are so poor - Sauna, showers are okayish, can’t complain - it’s not crowded minus some weekdays 5-6pm post office rush.

They should kick people with horrible attitudes, disrespect, and rude tones out. This place is for health and wellness, and the environment should reflect that. Something I saw this week really disrupted my workout. A white blonde lady with facial piercings completely lost her marbles because someone else went before her to the massage chair. The lady before her followed the rules and placed her name on the waiting list, but this entitled girl was huffing and puffing because she wanted to go next. She didn’t know about the policy and was very disrespectful. This Karen then brought the manager over, and the manager did not explain the rules to her. The front desk staff didn’t either. The whole situation was very disruptive while I was trying to work out and just focus. She even stood over the poor woman with wet wipes for three minutes while the lady was finishing up, creating a hostile and uncomfortable situation. I saw this same girl again today and, omg, she still had a nasty attitude. Please don’t let such people create a hostile environment, and take steps to stop this kind of disgusting behavior so the gym can remain a respectful and positive space for everyone.

I had the worst experience coming into this gym. I’m a small Asian woman on winter break from college and I wanted to join my sister who’s been a loyal member for a little over a year now. We have a three day pass coupon that says is valid for guests who have not gone to the gym within the past 60 days so we assumed it was okay since i visited for the first time December last year. No one was at the front desk so we decided to use the bathroom first and as we were walking in a friendly employee said welcome. Then suddenly a tall white man with ginger hair rudely demanded for me to check in. He stated that the pass was only for first time guests, but was speaking with a demeaning, disrespectful and rude tone that gave me anxiety. I am still shaking and crying after this interaction. He mentioned buying a day pass or a short-term membership since he could tell I was coming from school, yet his face and tone were scary and and blunt. No details shared that made the interaction welcoming for me to join. I was considering getting a membership here because I may move back home, but this scary interaction made me feel belittled as a new girl coming in to workout. I understand if there was fine print so I couldn’t use the pass. but it was very discouraging and unnecessary to speak to me that way. I believe he could’ve been more professional rather than condescending.

I contacted the membership staff to ask about upgrade pricing, and unfortunately the service was not friendly at all. It felt as if I were asking for something for free rather than simply requesting information. I am already a paying member, and the membership is not inexpensive. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this kind of treatment at this location. I believe the staff could benefit from better customer service training.

I happened to run into Ian White at the gym one day, and we immediately hit it off. I’d had difficulties with other gyms and trainers for two main reasons: many seemed to push clients to the point of exhaustion, and I was constantly getting injured. Eventually, I stopped working with trainers altogether. When I started training with Ian, everything changed. I began seeing real progress without getting hurt. Ian has an exceptional understanding of training methodology as well as nutritional needs. Just as importantly, he never used high‑pressure tactics to sell additional sessions. I highly recommend Ian.

I highly recommend Ian for fitness coaching and training. I was fortunate to be trained by him, and his impact went far beyond just physical instruction. Ian is exceptional at educating clients about overall health, transforming my approach from having "no clue" in the gym to feeling confident and significantly better. He provided the guidance and motivation necessary to achieve my best physical shape. If you need a knowledgeable and inspiring coach, definitely request Ian. He is a 10/10 recommendation.

Tried Crunch Fitness on a free 3 day pass and, unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming from the moment I walked in. The front desk interaction set the tone immediately. There were two people at the front desk, the guy who checked me in seemed completely disengaged — no eye contact, no warmth, no effort and the girl just brushed me off. I wasn’t offered a tour, no one asked about my fitness goals or why I was even there. There was ZERO attempt from the front desk or sales staff to explain the space or welcome a first-time guest. Thankfully, I knew someone who already goes there and they were kind enough to show me around — which says a lot, because that should’ve been the staff’s job. Later, I asked the front desk if they had a foam pad I could borrow for an exercise I was doing. The staff member appeared more focused on his phone than helping me. Overall, the vibe was off. The staff came across as indifferent, dismissive, and oddly full of themselves — which is wild considering this is a customer-facing service business. Pro tip: Gyms thrive on energy, encouragement, and approachability. None of that was present here. Who the heck is running this gym? I wanted to purchase a shake on my way out but guess what?!? NO ONE WAS AT THE FRONT DESK. Way to go Crunch!! I decided to go to Sidewalk Juice in the mall where I always get amazing service AND a smile! They have decent equipment, although when I came here there were a few machines that were not in service so I had to figure out another way to do the exercise or basically wait for a machine, but overall the experience is lacking. A little professionalism, basic hospitality, and self-awareness would go a long way.
