Poenisch Park

This is my favorite little park on Ocean Drive in Corpus Christi. Why? Because I find great sea shells here. Also, the view is great and sunrise, and you can get a great but distant view of downtown. There is a bench for sitting that is above the beach. This beach is constantly changing as sands and shells shift north or south depending on the last storm. Sometimes it is sandy beach. Sometimes there is almost no sand because it has shifted behind the homes to either side of the park, and you have a beach line of broken concrete. The concrete is always there to some extent, so be sure to wear solid footwear and watch small children carefully. It can be a bit steep when you walk down to the beach as there is no maintained path. It is the last public park headed out to TAMUCC. I have been coming to this park since I was a teenager. There are about 6-8 parking spots.

Relaxing little spot for quiet time. It's asking a trail and there's a table overlooking the water. I was pleasantly surprised.

On of the quieter parkes on ocean dr. The last park before getting to Ennis Joslyn. Has a picnic table and shaded area. Also you can walk down to the bay. On a small but perfect beach front.

Had rare fast food for lunch last week. Instead of eating inside noisy restaurant took my chow to the park. The park is clean and quiet with a perfect view of the blue water. A perfect place to enjoy a lunch or just "me time". Check it out
