Residence Inn by Marriott Corpus Christi Downtown

It's in a great location downtown with really nice staff. The rooms were spacious and had everything you needed for an extended stay. I also really appreciate the Wednesday evening social. The biggest downside is that parking is $15/day, which isn't high compared to a big city, but seems a little steep for Corpus Christi. Also, while they have a gym with basic stuff, it's nothing particularly great, and it's a little weird there aren't any wipes to clean things. Overall, I enjoyed my lengthy stay and would recommend staying here.

This hotel has been our go to for many of our stays in corpus the rooms the location have always been a go to for us, but this time the management disappointed us. First we already had paid and reserved our room online when we went to check In they had us swipe our card a different form of method and charged the whole room again after they could Clearly see it had been paid for already causing this to use some of our spending money budget when requested to get this resolved immediately the manager wouldn’t talk to us instead had the employee come back and forth to inform us there was nothing they could do but gave us 2 coupons for 2 drinks felt like a slap in the face. The manager dint come out to apologize or explain what would happen with the charge that was not even suppose to be processed as our stay was booked and paid for. The cards provided to us with there information stated the Assistant General manager Laura Earley and the General Manager Brian Vaugh people we never saw or spoke to speaks volumes of the importance of there customers to when they make the mistakes and can’t even face us to apologize for the inconvenience this caused for our trip!

I followed this Hotel’s cancelation procedures well exceeding their 48 hour cancelation requirement. Contrary to their own policy, they charged my card anyway. Was this incompetence or something nefarious? After contacting the hotel 3 times and leaving 2 messages for the manager (calls not returned), I was left with only one alternative, disputing the charge with my credit card company. They then fought my dispute! While my good record keeping helped me win the dispute two months later, my recommend to all is to just avoid this hotel and the potential hassle if you need to cancel.

My wife and I recently visited Corpus Christi for the first time and we stayed at the Residence Inn with a room overlooking the bay. Although the view was incredible, the experience was truly special because of the hotel and the staff. The staff were so friendly and quickly took care of any question or need that we had. Their smiles and greetings made each day bright! The rooms were so comfortable that you don't feel like you're travelling! Everything was spotless and the lobby and lounge were a perfect setup for us to relax and watch the Super Bowl with other guests. The hotel and staff really exemplified why I love Marriott so much.

Upon showing up to the hotel everything was fine until we got up to our room where it smelled and reaked of old fish that had went bad. I asked the cleaning crew to please come spray or do something, she then laughed in my face just handed me a spray bottle of watered down mixture. We tried brushing it off and went about our day. Then came back to the room and found roaches.! We were tired so we stepped on the roaches and called it a day. When we told the front desk they said the manager would call us and never did. This is very frustrating and disappointing as we make these trips often. They never did anything to make it right.

Excellent hotel, Marriot never disappoints! Our room was very spacious and clean, the hotel is right across from the beach giving quick walking distance to some fun. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We look forward to staying with you again at our next visit in Corpus.

I highly recommend this property Such amazing service from front desk agent Samantha made me feel so welcome. Thank you for everything you done for me and my family making us feel so special. This property is located in the city Bay Area The rooms are super clean and outstanding, Housekeeping and front desk Service is top notch makes us feel so comfortable. Bar area is fantastic pool is beautiful. Free breakfast in morning food is so delicious. I'm so glad l have found a place who knows how to treat their guest with the best. Thank you for all your hard work I will be returning again.
