Presque Isle: Beach 7 Waterworks

Beach 8 this time and it was packed as only a Saturday afternoon can be. My friend found a turtle that due to NO CELL SERVICE we found out later was an ALLIGATOR SNAPPING TURTLE which I didn’t even know was an animal….. truly always thought an alligator was completely a different thing than a snapping turtle. Park Rangers had a display in the parking lot, and I got to hold a 36,000 year old jaw/teeth of a MASTODON elephant like dinosaur which I think is one of the best experiences of this whole summer. It was unearthed there at the Presque Isle beach on Lake Erie. Went to another beach that was number six and had no lifeguard at all, and no one seem to be swimming, though some people were walking in the shallows. Met a person coming up on an airfield surfboard that he was quite impressed with and saw that there were three other boards Being written by people in the water, but I’m not sure if that was one of the beaches where there was no swimming allowed. I know that beach 9, 10 and 11 were all shut down but I’m not exactly sure why -because it could’ve been alligators or E. coli. Last four pics are from beach 6 which is the one I would have had a much more enjoyable time at - just completely too packed. Nice breeze though. And the fish sculptures for recycling were completely beautiful……. Inspiring!

Love the shades playground are. The fish off the dock walk in the pond is really cool to see they come up to the surface hundreds at a time. No feeding them. My 2 yr old granddaughter & 5 month old grandson was so excited, and the beach is just across the lil road way. Just a beautiful relaxing area especially great for kids. Will return over & over & over for more & more memories

Nice beach. Pretty clean, good size, nice overlook at the top for people who don’t want to be in the sand and water. Sand was clean, waves were nice a calm and the sunset was real nice from this beach. Would recommend.

Fun place to go. It also has handicapped ramps and a playground

First time at Presque Isle on a perfect summer day. Beach 7 had a lot of parking spaces including handicap slots. The area was clean with lifeguards. I had a great time.

Great family beach with indoor bathrooms in the Rotary Pavillion. Playground area and fishing pier close by.
