Hadley Valley - Gougar Road Access

The view of the valley from the Gougar Road entrance is beautiful! The trail loop is about 2.5 miles. If you walk clockwise on the trail, there is a big climb at the end of the loop, back up to the Gougar Road parking area. You can also extend your distance by taking the Spring Creek Greenway Trail, which goes across Gougar Road.

This is a nice lengthy trail. However, it's a bit secluded. I recommend to always bring along company. Also be prepared with a hat or umbrella for sun because there are no shades areas. This space is pretty open and there aren't many trees. This trail tends to be clean and clear of trash. There aren't any bathrooms. Overall it's a beautiful trail were you can walk, run or bike. I've seen people with horses on the trail which was pretty cool besides when the horses pooped.

Very serene trail! Wide open, no shade. Gravel trail. I would say stroller friendly on a very dry day. If it's wet there is no way. I came after they control burned the area but it's still beautiful and I know once summer comes it'll be gorgeous. Not a crowded trail. You might catch some horses as well. This entrance has ample parking, a restroom and a covered picnic pavilion. Along the trail there are benches to take a break or enjoy the scenery! Come catch a sunrise or sunset. I walked the loop and even stopped at the gas n wash nearby for a treat before getting back to the parking lot.

Loved this! Nothing like a morning walk there, is peaceful , all alon with the scent of the flowers, makes a great place to visit for walking and relaxing.

Teo words come to mind when I think of this preserve. Peace and comforting this trail is very nice if yiur looking to walk a couple miles. There are many people who walk run and bike here but it never seems over crowded. The path is not leveled gym shoes are best as its not concrete. I love hearing the sound of nature as I walk the trail. There are other entrances to other trials to lengthen the distance. However I do recommend bringing a friend if possible as the walking trial is somewhat secluded.

Beautiful trail. Clean and well kept. Several benches to rest. Great for walking the dog. Please clean up after your pet and keep this gem awesome.

I love this trail! I walk and run this trail with my puppy 4 to 5 times a week. In the morning, the sunrises are just beautiful. At night, there are more people but the ranches come over with their horses and it makes great pictures with a sunset. One of my favorite places
