Haulover Park

This is a excellent place to take your children and or your pets. They have a large dog park. They have a picnic area they have if you want to exercise watch your bike, swim kayak or ride the waters.

Haulover Beach is a great alternative to the crowded beaches in South Miami. It’s noticeably quieter and more relaxed, making it easy to actually enjoy the ocean without feeling packed in. I’ve never had an issue finding a decent spot to sit, even on busier days. Parking is plentiful and much less stressful than other Miami beaches, and there’s plenty of space for grilling and hanging out with family or friends. If you’re looking for a clean, spacious beach with a calmer vibe, this is the place to go.

When the sun came out everything warmed up nicely. Very clean white sand beach and nice options with chairs, umbrellas, and food vendors. Even had lifeguards. I always spend time collecting plastics off any beach I visit.

Went for the annual kite day. The park was clean the good trucks were delicious and the event was very fun overall.

The other day I drove over to Haulover Park to see what they offer. It is a huge park. I took the exit to the west not knowing there is also an exit to the east! So I only saw one side of the park, which means that I will need to drive over there again to see the rest of it on the other side. The west side has the Bill Bird Marina with hundreds of boats docked there. From the posted signs, it looks like you need to become a member in order to use the Marina and its huge parking lot. I do not own a boat so this did not apply to me. I saw a gentleman flying his kite as it was a windy but hot day. There was plenty of grassy area for kite lovers to show off their colorful and creative kites. There is also a beach area further to the north for families. I didn't see any vendors so bring a picnic basket. You can see the inlet with boats passing by. I also saw about 75 birds around some left-over rain water in the parking lot by the marina. They were so calm and beautiful. Looked like seabirds and another type of bird. I took a picture of them. Next time I will visit the east side and report back.

Probably my new fave beach! Everyone was so kind and on top of their pets, cleaning after them and ensuring they were all in their best behavior. The beach is so clean, so beautiful, people come here to spend the whole day with their pets, I absolutely love it! I have already gone twice and already planning on going back soon. Totally recommend

Love this beach, always great friendly people. Parking and easy access using one of the tunnels. Chairs an umbrellas are very expensive, we flew into town so we had no choice but to rent, but it f we were going to stay for a few days it would just be cheaper to buy new when we come to town.
