Spent New Year's afternoon 2008 out here in my sea kayak. It was peaceful and partly cloudy and the seas were calm. Could see the smoke stack off to the north and bluffs of Encinitas and Leucadia to the east.
Stayed at an airbnb just up the street and spent most of my days on this beach. It was such a lovely contrast to the sandy white beaches I'm used to in FL! I couldn't get over the beautiful rock walls and wild flowers surrounding this place. So incredible.
This is a Krispy Kreme. It's a good donut shop, to its credit, but it fails in all aspects as a nature reserve.
