Ocean Beach Tide Pools

Some nice views here and kids enjoyed finding crabs along the rocks at low tide. Walk down stairs and nice paved path along the beach. Can even get down to the water in some areas. Parking is very limited will need to park on street.

It was an amazing experience with the kiddos. But there were way to many people that were not being respectful of the marine life. I made sure my children knew not to touch or disturb any living creatures, but to just enjoy the experience. I hope more parents teach there kids these simple guidelines to keep the the wildlife there for everyone to enjoy in the future.

Went to the tidepools under OB pier during -1.4 king tides. It was spectacular as you could see tidepools that are submerged year round teaming with life. Tons of crabs, lobsters, fish anemones and even a grumpy octopus. Flashlights kept the fun going well into the evening. As if that wasn't awesome enough once we were done poking around we still had plenty of time to watch the OB holiday parade. What a night we had!

This place is awesome! Kids have buckets collecting clams and the pools even have octopus that can be seen from time to time

The sky is a different wall of beauty every single night. Long Beach lights up 360⁰and the view changes depending on where you stand. There's the Catalina Island way in the back and layers of boats and moving water moving and reflecting the lights, sky and moonlight just for You!

Ocean Beach Tide Pools are such a special place to watch and feel the sunset. We spotted an octopus, a sea slug, and a crab, and the anemones were absolutely stunning. A truly magical spot that makes you feel connected to nature.

The Ocean Beach tide pools are a cool and fairly easy accessible place in Ocean Beach. Nice cliff side views and a partial pathway.
