Saltar's Point Beach

We came on a sunny winter day and were lucky enough to have a train go by! It's a lovely, rocky beach with crystal-clear water. The parking lot offers a few parking spots. The views are very nice. We enjoyed watching the little ferry go by.

It's a lovely little beach, and clean. Please keep it that way. Frailer folk may find the stairs too daunting. There is a hearth and picnic tables under the covered shelter. Nice on a rainy day.

The beach is just 20+ mins (walking) from the port, there is closer parking though but limited spots and only two hours. I didn't see any handicap access to get down.

The solitude! The sounds of each wave! The calmness of the water is all worth a long drive.

Great little park with only 5 parking spots with a sanican and covered picnic Area below.

If you are looking for a quiet rocky beach to enjoy the scenery of the puget sound, this is a great place. There is a small covered area. You can see the Tacoma narrows bridge. Sometimes I see porpoises, seals, and other creatures. There is a small bathroom that is sometimes open.
