Cobalt Grille

We made reservations through Open Table for our celebration of my wife's birthday. When we were led to our table, the menus said "happy birthday" on them. The food was excellent and our server Catherine was attentive and charming. The owner brought us our Caesar salads. They were crispy and fresh with just the right amount of dressing. The Sea Bass and Fish and Chips were hot and delicious. The meal was not rushed and we were superbly taken care of.

Just absolutely wow. I just got my mind blown by the Carpaccio Beef and Scallops Rockefeller. I met Christina and she was an absolute professional bar tender. Super well versed in Bourbon Whiskeys and Scotch. The customer service and knowledge was so refreshing and fun conversation. People like this along with the amazing menu make IT a favorite. Love IT

My husband and I enjoyed this place and everything that we ordered. The service provided was professional, and the staff was pleasant. I enjoyed a wonderfully made cocktail while waiting on my meal. The meals we ordered were delicious, fresh, and plated very well. We also had dessert, and that was right on time after the meal we had. To top off the entire experience, I enjoyed an after dinner drink, and it was so good! We enjoyed this restaurant a lot. we will take the drive from NC to VA to have this experience again . Thanks again for the great experience !

We celebrated our anniversary at Cobalt Grille on February 14, 2025. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. My husband and I shared the rock-shrimp as an appetizer. It was plated beautifully and was equally delicious. For Valentine’s Day, they had a special menu offering crab cakes, rock fish, and pork loin as main entrees. I also ordered the maple duck breast with spinach. The food was a work of art and we didn’t want to mess it up but we did. No regrets! The restaurant also gave us a toast of champagne to end a wonderful night. I’m looking forward to our next meal here!

Very lovely restaurant. The menu is far from typical, with really nice options. The prices reflect the upscaled nature of this restaurant, and I might add, the food is certainly worthy of it. I had soup and the buffalo mozzarella appetizer with fried green tomatoes, it was just exceptional. My husband really loved his veggie dish, all dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. We look forward to returning to the Cobalt Grille and highly recommend this restaurant.

I dined at Cobalt Grille for the first time ever earlier this month, and wow! I was very impressed by the menu, quality of food, and upscale atmosphere. I liked that the front of house was more bar/work lounge, and the main dining area felt very NYC hole in the wall with an open window to view the kitchen. The server we had was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was spectacular. As a plant-based/vegetarian eater, it’s hard to find entrees that do the job well, and I was very pleased with my veggie entree. My partner had the beef Wellington and couldn’t even finish it all! Great servings, nice drinks, etc.. I would recommend and go there again.

Great local spot for dates and social mingling, food is always delicious, atmosphere is inviting, celebrating their 25th year in the restaurant business! Congratulations!
