We loved this park. We were staying in the area and my husband wanted to surf fish. We'll definitely be back!

An incredible place to spend a day with family and friends. The beach is absolutely beautiful. The presence of lifeguards adds an extra layer of safety and peace of mind. The fishing pier is a fantastic feature for those who enjoy fishing or just want to enjoy some peaceful ocean views. The playground is well-maintained and fun for kids of all ages. The park also offers clean restrooms and showers. Parking is convenient and affordable at only $4 for all-day access.

Nice place to spend a day. Note: parking lot was closed on Christmas day. Four stars because of no available restrooms at that time.

We love this spot. It can be crowded but if you’re not a fan of the Va. beach strip, this is a good alternative. Good spot for picnics and has nice restroom and outdoor showers to rinse sand off before you leave. Nice playground as well and a pier for fishing. Lifeguards on duty as well. Parking was just $4.60 from 10-6.

We used to LOVE this playground when my kids were little. I feel so bad for people with kids under 3 now, the playground has no way for little kids to get to the slide now that they changed the play structure to all ropes. None of the ropes are hot, which is nice, but it’s not toddler friendly, at all. Very cool for big kids.

This is an easy to get to beach access park with lots of parking. Reasonably priced at $4 a day. I also noticed that RVs could park for the day in the lot as well as cars. My family chose to go here for the day with our young family since we figured it would be less crazy and crowded compared to Virginia Beach Boardwalk tourist area. The downside is it closes before dark. There are two bathrooms on either side of the parking lot with changing rooms. The floors got very wet and sandy by the end of the day. A playground helps entertain the kids if they get bored with the beach or need a change of pace. The playground was very appealing for older kids with all of the climbing structures. My youngest kids enjoyed the swings. All of the 3 large shaded pavilions with picnic tables were for reservations only. I wish one of them could have been open for beach goers first come first served. You must book these at least a week in advance. They must be very popular because the Saturday we visited all three had large groups in them. There are a couple of round picnic tables in direct sun that were available. Having lifeguards made the experience at the beach seem a little safer. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would be interested in going back again sometime.

Very spacious parking lot with a reasonable price of 4$ for a whole day. A restroom building with several outside showers and dressing spaces. A very nice playground and of course direct access to the beach. Overall, a perfect spot for a day at the beach.
