Falls Lake Dam

Falls Lake Dam was the perfect spot for a peaceful, laid-back afternoon. My fiancé took me here for a surprise picnic, and it was honestly such a beautiful experience. The area is well-maintained, with plenty of open space to spread out a blanket and just enjoy nature. You can hear the gentle rush of water from the dam, which made the whole vibe extra calming. There are walking trails nearby if you want to explore a bit, and the views are stunning—lush greenery, open sky, and the water stretching out in both directions. We had our lunch near the water and spent time just relaxing, talking, and soaking up the quiet. Whether you’re looking for a date idea, solo time to decompress, or a family-friendly nature spot, Falls Lake Dam is a hidden gem. I can’t wait to come back with a book or even just for another QT picnic!

Awesome place for sunrise and sunsets! I recommend walking or biking there if you’re close enough or know where the Neuse River trail access points are. Fishing, boating, trail walks, this place is great, especially if you’ve got children who need to expend some energy!

Trails were nice, but too much traffic noise for my preference, ladies room was a wreck, out of TP. The view from the Dam was cool, but the dock was closed.

Really cool spot to check out, doesn't seem like it's North Carolina! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you haven't been!

God The Creator in His display in nature alone is unmistakably the most fascinating living entity alive! Falls Lake in Wake Forest, NC is clearly a testament of it...so... enjoy!

Beautiful! But there were snakes in the rocks so be careful where you step!

I love my Saturday mornings waking up drinking my coffee read my meditation after working the whole week. I would go to the dam and walk the trail. One of my favorite part seeing a deer. My husband and I live in Marion Virginia now. I miss it So much, Thank you for the Dam of Beauty and walking with God and his Beautiful nature. Peace 🦋 ❤️
