Sandling is a man made beach within Falls Lake State Park. They charged $10 for the holiday weekend entrance fee. Sandling is accessible to the fire pits for barbecuing and is very small. Perfect for families and small children. You can access the beach on Creedmoor Rd. This was the perfect place for a convenient beach day 4th of July weekend. It saved me the 4 hour round trip to Bear Island. I arrived early around 10:30 a.m. and there were no crowds. We camped out near the showers and bathrooms. This park is perfectly lined with trees in abundance. Perfect for barbecuing. There are no food trucks or cafes in the area, so pack a picnic or bring, coal, light fluid, veggies, and meats for grilling. We enjoyed our morning picnic and the water was very relaxing. I appreciate how clean the sand area was and the garbage was well organized as well. I brought my mother who is 72 and I had concerns about the proximity of the restrooms and showers and overall access. I was relieved to discover how convenient the beach access was for those with mobility impairment and disabilities. There are no pets allowed and no alcohol permitted. I watched the park rangers escort someone with a pit bull to the parking lot to return home and a woman was asked to dump out several beer cans. You have been warned. They run a tight ship here. I plan to return throughout the remainder of the summer months.

Very clean park with beach access. There was a daily fee to enter the park $10 and you are able to use the pass all day. So it’s nice if you need to leave and come back. This was our first visit and we cannot want to plan a family outing here and bring the grill to cook. They allow you bring your own, they do have a few that are first come first serve. Perfect place for families clean bathrooms and places to change your clothes.

Very cool place to have summer fun for very little money. $7/car. The trees and tables near the beach are great. Get there early to grab one.

TAKE NOTHING EARN EVERYTHING REAL LIFE

My family and I really enjoy Sandling Beach, I only gave 3 stars because of how filthy the bathrooms are and on people who bring their pets, not picking up their droppings off the sand and grass. That's so disgusting. I love animals as much as most, but you must always clean up after them or keep them home. There should be a separate side for the animals to swim and do their business far away from the actual water people swim in away from humans .

Came here to visit from NY and this little beach surrounded by a beautiful lake was awesome! Layed out on the sand to tan and we barbecued some food on one of the bbq’s by the picnic benches. I noticed there were racks with life jackets so if you didn’t come prepared with one for your little one you could grab one. I thought that was an awesome idea. Great place for families!

So this review is from a recent trip which was the first day of the season that the park was open to the public. The park was super clean and you could tell that they have been working to get the park ready. there was virtually no one there except 3 or 4 people just hanging out. There's a park playground for children there is a nice swimming area and lots of picnic tables and group picnic shelters. This is one of the more popular swimming spots so there's lots of parking spaces there also. The Park is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and there is an entrance fee on the weekends and holidays April, May, & Sept. Memorial Day thru Labor Day there is a daily per-car fee. There are 7 picnic shelter areas and and 8 bathrooms spread out over the park. There is about 2 miles of maintained hiking trails.
