Sandling Beach State Recreation Area

Beautiful clean beach. I visited in the evening on a weekend, was a bit busy. Despite of crowd it was private. There are life jackets available for adults and kids. This park has wonderful beach area, shower area, restrooms, playground, picnic areas and plenty of parking (entry $7 per car). It has trails, benches. We dint spend much time but we felt really good and fresh on the beach. It was relaxing.

Nice beach! $7fee for entrance, we choose to go a little farther shelter#6. Its less crowd (Avoid the holidays, tons of ppl on Labor day weekend). There have many picnic tables, grill, restroom, changing room. Perfect for the kids n family who do not want to drive. This place is so closed to us..only 10 mins drive!

Great beach! My family enjoyed ourselves. Rather take kids to the lake vs. water Park hands down.

After work we went here, the place is beautiful. If you want to just escape and have an afternoon rest or just want silent day. Go here!!

I caught a flat coming in to sandling there. I saw the young guys who work around the parking area and I asked for help because I had a spare in the trunk, but for some reason, my tire wouldn’t come off like the rim was stuck so I wanna give a special shout out to Glenn and the guys that came and helped me they all gave it a good try and finally it gave in and popped off so we could put the spare or should I say so they can put the spare on I actually have a bad back and I’m new here to North Carolina all the way from Oakland, California, which talking to Officers Glenn I found out he live there for quite some time before he came to North Carolina. I want to say thank you to him and the guys they were very cool down to earth and professional which was new to me as far as law enforcement goes! Next time me and my wife come up I’ll bring some good to put on the grill for you guys! Thanks again! 🙏🏾

First time visitor..looking forward to exploring more when the weather permits. ☺

Great area for kids and dogs to swim and play in the sand. You can have a picnic or grill out. Restrooms at the shelters.
