Daniel Boone Park

Beautiful but small park. There is a very nice boat launch area, picnic spots and seats with a view. There is a very nice fishing pier. Plenty of trash cans, restrooms and ample parking. I went on a Sunday afternoon and found it relatively quiet. Some families are there with kids, fishers, boaters and gawkers like myself. Overall a peaceful park with nice views.

The park is small but mighty! There is a small men's and women's (separate) restroom by the long parking lot. It isn't beautiful, but it does work. It is a one way road so don't do what we did and go the wrong way. Haha Go down the hill in front of you when you pull in, drive along the river, then up the hill into the parking lot. There is a dock that you can walk out onto and a few benches/picnic tables on the grassy hill. No playground. We used this as a snack/wiggle break on our 8 hour road trip with a 4 and 6 year old. Perfect place! Really close to the interstate.

So this is a small riverside USACE park property. It's clean and well maintained. Parking lot is large enough for any size rig or RV. Small launch ramp and dock. Observation deck suitable for fishing. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

The park is clean, Out of the 3 times I've been here, the restroom (women's) has been locked once, but it was probably where it's a Sunday & it was kinda early (plus the blvd. was closed). The boat ramp to Kanawha river is nice, a lot easier for everyone to get into the boat. I recommend using this park.

Cool landscape, partially covered pier, several grill sites and picnic tables that are away from the riverside, and plenty of parking. It's right on the river, in sight of the Capitol to the right, and a view of the mountains to the left.

Park is currently being cleaned up still from the floods. But a nice park to enjoy the river views.

A very quiet park by the water. Lots of parking for trucks with trailers. There is a boat ramp. Lots of shore line to fish and adventure. There is a bathroom on premises.
