It was first time for my daughter to enroll the summer basketball program. It runs from middle of June to the end of August. The practice was on every Monday 6 to 7 pm and game was on every Saturday morning, 8 to 9 or 9:30. She attended all of these schedule except one Monday and one Saterday session because she attended summer camp in other city. The coaches were awesome, passionate, supportive and friendly. They taught players the strategies and gave excellent advice. I hope she can join again when it offers that program. And if you live around and have kids, it can provide lots of good opportunities and programs. You need to definitely visit there!
Every September or October, there will be a Korean Festival. Lots of Korean will provide food, music, and culture every year.
Visited during Korean festival last week. Very nice highly recommended
We went to attend the Korean festival. I was in a wheelchair, and unfortunately this venue is not wheelchair-friendly. We have a lot of difficulty trying to maneuver through the food section of the venue. It was easier in the Korean spices, vinegars and tea vendors' section. The transition from sidewalk to grass, etc. Was also challenging to maneuver. We even saw an older gentleman fall. There were a couple of places I couldn't go to as I was in my wheelchair.
A small but fun recreation park for the neighborhood. There is a playfield, a playground and some exercise equipments. The parking lot is always occupied and used as badminton courts by the locals...and I'll be honest I love that. Really makes the park come to life, it's so lively every time I passed by. Contrary to some other reviews, I don't see any tents or homeless people loitering in the park now. The restroom outside the Ardmore Recreation Center, however, was locked last time I visited the park on a Sunday morning.
Loved this place I been going here since I was 5, and I never had a complaint about the place. They have summer camp while having field trips and making the kids at least do some exercise throughout the day. If you're looking for a job during the summer, this place allows you to work and get experience. I also play volleyball and basketball here.
The Korean Festival is a nightmare. Way too crowded, not enough food vendors, and just a disaster in general
